Grand Central Hotel  

We received a very warm welcome on arrival. We were able to change our pakage to include a meal on either night great value,this only cost an extra 22 euro. The hotel is centrally located .

The shower in our room 603 could not be regulated,the water was boiling. We told reception about it as we were departing. We used bath instead. Breakfast was basic, no homemade sliced brown bread was missed. Service was excellent on both mornings.

Only saw one member of staff during my stay she was very friendly and helpful.the price was reasonable 58 euro for one night 2 sharing b+B.good cental location.

No one at reception only a sign directing us to check in at the bar.although she very friendly and helpful.the rooms were very basic and hotel lacked atmosphere.no bath just a wet room.the toilet was cracked and sumed up the hotel.if it wasnt for the price I wouldnt have stayed.

It was very close to the city centre.

There was chewing gum suck to the headboard on the bed and there was an iron burn mark on the carpet and the walls had a lot of stains on them.

Staff were nice... Great location for everything.. Only fault was we were on floor with no lift and doors very narrow to get bags through + there was a crowd of men stayin on same floor and they never stopped shouting the whole night :( so we didn't get much sleep..phone to reception didn't work.

I live in Scotland I I visit Bundoran every year on Holiday .Thist last visit was sadly overnight to attend an old friends funeral In Ballyshannon.The Grand Central was the cheapest on offer r2 rooms for 4 people at £97 altogether. This included a big fry breakfast. Also we did not arrive from Glasgow untill just after midnight.The Bar was open untill 2am which was much appreciated.One of the room entry cards did not function this was soon replaced I regularl;y holiday in this area I once had lunch in their public restaurnt. I have been impressedby this stay and will check its cost next year.If its prices remain the same I give it my 100% endorsement

Convenient central location. Good breakfast. Spacious room.

The temperature dial in the shower was broken so the temperature could not be regulated - so the water was scalding hot.

Good Location on the main street, it was clean.

The Guy on Reception was Way to over the top needs to just be friendly not so in your face. When we arrived we were asked for our credit card details, we said we wanted to pay in cash so he said that's fine we just swipe card in-case of extra charges and you pay on departure. So we paid Cash when we were leaving. I checked my card on Internet banking when I got home and They had Taken 100euro From my Account. When I rang I got no apology or anything just ok fine we will refund that attitude as if he was my fault. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT/DEBIT CARD DETAILS!

I liked that it was quiet, with friendly staff at the front door and at breakfast. I also liked that we were left to our own devices for the duration of our stay.

The grand central hotel is in the centre of town. A big warm fire greeted me as I arrived.The hotel is very clean and a pint at the bar was available all night if required.The rooms are lovely and spacious and the Irish breakfast next morning was devine. A very comfortable night sleep was received from staying at the grand central.

The guy that worked that worked in the restaurant/bar was one of the nicest guys I have ever met. Poor guy seemed to be working by himself every time he served us. Did a fantastic job :)

What can I say? I you want a really cheap hotel and somewhere to lay your head for the night in fairly clean conditions then this is the place for you! A bit tired and jaded around the edges but otherwise fine for a very very basic overnight stay! Wouldn't recommend for anyone looking for a bit of luxury or comfort! Wouldnt rush back!
