Centre of town so near everything.
I would advise anyone that is booking into this hotel to ring the manager beforehand if you are requesting a non smoking room. Seemingly, all the rooms are supposed to be non smoking, but mine stank and there wasn't anything else available apart from the room beside the dance club which wasn't an option. I'll be making sure the next time, if there is a next time
Very central, staff very pleasant, restaurant excellent.
noise all night from night club and residents below room
Couldn't really fault anything fantastic hotel and staff very friendly will deffinatly stay there next time we go over
Food was amazing and breakfast was lovely. Nice restaurant and pub with Hotel. Staff were some of the nicest in any hotel. Location was smack bang in the town, perfect. Will definietly stay here again.
Could've done room service, they'd make extra money and all they have to do is carry the food upstairs instead of the customers. Easy money. The bathroom was very basic and old looking, but nice power shower. The TV was also one of the very small and old TVs, not really usuable given the distance from the bed it was.
Right in the centre of town.
Bar staff cover reception. Room was tiny - no space for toiletries in bathroom, dressing table in dark corner - overall too small to be comfortable. And this was a double room!
Everything bout this hotel was excellent. I don't know why it is only 2 star.
Jim was a star we arrived in snow, gales at midnight, Jim put the coffee on and nothing was to much trouble. We had to leave for a meeting early so he left a message for a sandwich to be ready for 6.30am and it was made just 1st class service. Well Done and thank Joy Knight
Noisy live band on a Tuesday night prevented any sleep, dirty, uncomfortable, incompetent management, hugely overpriced town pub with a very misleading name.
The view of the river and bridge was lovely especially the lights accross the bridge.
Only a couple of channels on the TV.
Hotel has old world, "Grand" charm, its right in the center of the town. Beautiful bedrooms, I had a fab view of the river. Very warm and welcoming, will definitely return.
Corridors can be a bit noisy very early and very late, but was there for new years so expected it.
Staff were very nice, downstairs was lovely and generally had a pleasant atmosphere
Room was a bit dated, sink leaked, bed foot board was broken
Room with bay window over looking Blackwater river Staff Breakfast Location
Very small tv Radiator needed draining Water pump noise when toilet refilling . . . nothing that would stop me from returning!!
Very friendly and helpful staff Old fashion, atmospheric hotel and pub Traditional food Basic room but well equipped Price OK
Bedroom overlooking night club back door - this information was not provided and Saturday night the noise of loud voices, shouting etc.was impossible to ignore General sound insulation poor No parking
The bar and food
Perfect location in the centre of Fermoy. Room overlooked the stunning Blackwater river and historic town bridge. Very friendly, helpful staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Great staff and good food
Great friendly and helpful staff, food is excellent
Shower had cold water and then stopped when it eventually turned warm some 15minutes later
Lovely people who work there and they couldn't do enough for you
I did not like anything
Friendliness of staff and food was outstanding
Booked twin room but got a double ! Room very dated and bathroom very small. TV tiny and very few channels. Could do with major refurbishment
Really liked the staff and the food and beer
The fishing was rubbish
The hotel staffs are very nice and helpful. The breakfast and dinner were amazingly yummy! Comfy bed, though not the TV and small bathroom. Neverthess, happy to go back here again in the future^_^
Small tv. Not much option of chanel.
The charm and service of this old hotel was great.
Parking. Banging doors at nite.
- great staff
Our stay was very good. It was a pleasant suprise that the parking was free, the view from room #1 great, the food in the dining room was inexpensive and good, staff were friendly and local shopping more than met our needs. We plan to stay there again on our 2015 visit.
