Honestly everyone, you get what you pay for...yes the hotel is dated but the staff were among the best I have encountered. The food was fine, nothing bad but nothing out of this world. The room was fine, the bed was a bit hard but hey ho, horses for courses and it will probably suit most. If you want a cheap and cheerful few days away, go here...if you expect 5 star luxury then pay for it otherwise don't complain if you don't get it.

It was as expected so nothing to dislike.

The manager jasons lack of decency to take or return a phone call following a major disturbance in the next room.

It was reasonably priced and in a prime location to the town.

Moved twice for breakfast due to the fact a coach had arrived and wished to take over the breakfast area. Ended up eating meals in the pub area of the hotel as the coach load was given preference over single bookings. At no time was there an apology forthcoming for this, most unsatisfactory and quiet dissappointing in an ailing trade sector.

The staff were very friendly and always available to help with any queries. The breakfast was excellent and again restaraunt staff were very friendly and happy to help. The entertainment provided in the hotel was very good and helped to increase the enjoyment of our stay at the Grand Hotel.

No decaffeinated coffee in room or at breakfast. No vegetarian option for breakfast.

There were a few problems that probably not been reported,bathroom door if closed tightly was sticking at the top,window to the side of building very draughty,need new friction hinges,shower head needs servicing.Room 230..Viv Griffiths.

What I didnt like was booked throw you at 144.00 and when I got there they said price was wrong and charged me 565.00 t

the grand hotel was great, the staff were very helpful, close enough to the beach, and the hotel bar was great with live music every night :-)

the only thing i didnt like about the grand hotel was the lack of access for my mother who is in a wheelchair, the staff were great, they had a temporary ramp but we had to bring my mother in and out the back door, which was a bit dis heartening for her, other than that, the hotel was great

I thought the staff were very friendly, and the food was excellent. and the room we stayed in was very comfortable and big. the location of the hotel was good. we enjoyed are stay at the hotel. I would recommend a stay at this hotel.

Sorry this hotel was terrible, seriously needs closing down for a while and done up badly, there was hair in my bed , fine that they dealt with it very quickly but for the price it was horrible, the bed sheets are as old as the hotel I reckon, would never stay here again, you would be better off staying in waterford city and making your way out to tramore, the hotels are much cheaper and nicer.

the friendly staff as you check in at reception,nothing was too much trouble for them.the hotel itself has character in abundance,a bit dated perhaps but it just added to the charm of the place.the beach is just 5 mins away down a fairly steep hill so the infirm may find it a bit troublesome on the return journey.there was entertainment most nights in the bar and the bar staff were excellent as well. the food was very good indeed especially the evening meal with a wide choice of dishes on the menu. all in all my experience of the grand hotel was extremly positive and my wife and i will return again when visiting tramore.

The staff are very friendly and goes the extra mile to make your stay as enjoyable a possible. The restaurant staff are the nicest and friendliest I have ever come across. I'm looking forward to returning.
