Residents bar until 6 am and Sunday check out until 6pm. Food was good and pints were really nice! Cheap and cheerful, close to beach and pubs, staff were nice. We had 5 rooms booked here in December and everyone of them were like ice blocks we were absolutely freezing. Showers were well dodgy, there was a problem with plumbing and water ran brown every morning. This hotel is extremely basic, extremely old and not worth paying a lot of money to stay in but does the job if you're not expecting 5 star!

Lovely staff Piped music in bar too loud - a feature that's becoming an increasing nuisance in bars/lounges overall. Perhaps the industry in general should consider having a non piped music area in their bars etc where one can chat in comfort.

Tooo old. And rundown. Unlike their website, I was not offered a complimentary newspaper. And the only paper they had was 2 days old

The food was excellent and it was a great place to relax Parking is not the best. I was not happy when I arrived to check in I was told I was not on the system so I had to wait a good few minutes to sort it out. I had my confirmation that I was booked in for the nights . Eventually it was sorted but a bit off putting.

Staff were friendly enough (Meena). The Entertainment was good. The fry for breakfast wasn't the best as the sausages were small and had no real taste. The pudding was like a paste, and the scrambled egg taste like paste also. The bathrooms could be modernised in the hotel rooms showers etc.

The staff were really nice espically the woman in the resturant doing the breakfast, it was very centeral except for the hill up to it which if you were old maybe not stay here, everything was beside it, food in bar was gorgeous and well value for money, it was so cheap for what we got, we payed 180 for a Friday, sat , sun night, for 2 adults and 1 child with breakfast every morning, No high chairs in the bar / where i was getting food

We had a really comfortable stay at the grand hotel. Yes the decor is dated but we did not think that took away from our experience there, if anything it added to it. In the main Bar a band played, the weekend we were there, a regular thing we beleive. The noise did travel to the second floor but again we did not mind as we are a fairly laid back couple (without kids). We would really recommend this hotel for anyone who wants a hotel for a place to Eat, Drink and Sleep at, its not luxurious in one sense but it is Extremely comfortable and enjoyable. It is located on top of a hill looking out over tramore bay, the room we stayed in was a budget room including breakfast (continental and full Irish). The room had all the basics and the heating worked perfectly. The water in the showers was always hot again the showers are not luxurious but they worked perfectly fine. The television in the room was a litlle on the small side but we got what we paid for a room and breakfast the next morn which was quiet nice and had a home cooked feeling as the chefs cooked it as it was ordered, the food was'nt sitting in a hot box waiting to be served. We had a great time at the Grand Hotel Tramore and would recommend it to young couples travelling on a budget great value for money. We will definetly be returning
