The old world charm and the friendliness of the staff. Breakfast very good Pillows very hard - worst part of trip. Rooms and beds excellent. If they could fix their pillows it would be perfect for a city brek. |

The hotel staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The room was large and well equipped and the bathroom was roomy also. Breakfast in the dining room was a quiet affair with delicious and generous food. Despite what the hotel says, there is limited paid street parking until after 6:30 pm. The parking they claim is off-street is in a cul-de-sac laneway behind the hotel amidst industrial refuse bins. |

The Grand Hotel has a really great old world feel and a lot of atmosphere, particularly in its common rooms. The pub fills up with locals, as does the restaurant. If nothing else, the place feels genuine. |

The location and friendliness and the Irish Music in the bar on the Friday was brilliant. When I checked in they sent me to a room which was under renovation a simple error but shouldnt have happened. |

Very friendly, helpful staff. Lovely, well-appointed rooms. Breakfasts included were full, order off the menu breakfasts. One dinner included with two night stay--that dinner was the best meal of our three week trip-- excellent! Parking is a bit of a challenge with limited off-street parking. We were gone during most of the day-time hours when street parking was metered, so it wasn't a real problem for us. |
