The location is excellent for seeing this small heritage town - absolutely opposite the Castle and jsut round the corner from the Round Tower. It is a historic building itself so it was a perfect place to stay. I found it a bit difficult to find the car park behind the hotel. Directions to it on the website would be helpful as otherwise you arrive at the front where parking may be difficult. Also the small signs use the alternative name of Grant's Hotel.

The staff were helpful and there was a homely atmosphere. The room was small but clean and comfortable. I didn't like the fact that there were only two plugs working. Also, the radiator was very warm but I couldn't turn it off or control the heat.

The hotel is small, friendly, comfortable and excellent value. I enjoyed a great breakfast and in the words of 'The Terminator', I'll be back'. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The limited choice of tv channels and no radio, apparently - though this did not spoil my stay

The hospitality of the staff was second to non. I was working away from home (UK) and was Ill the whole time I was there and they were so accommodating to my needs. Because the hotel was fully booked it meant I would have to move rooms a number of times to ensure a quiet room as I had requested, but because I was so Ill they pulled out all of the stops to ensure I stayed in the same room. Thanks very much to Ciera for this and all of the other reception staff who were on duty while I was there this last week. ok, it's not the best hotel in terms of decor I have ever stayed in, but it's certainly not the worst by any stretch of the imagination. What's important for me when booking a hotel is price and cleanlinest and it was fine on both counts. Unfortunately good Customer service is something I don't expect so when I get it, it's a bonus! The warmth of the staff at this hotel made my stay a million times better than it otherwise would have been given I was so ill. I cant recommend them and this hotel as a great place to stay highly enough.

The location was central for family visits with lots of parking and easy local shopping. Food and beverages was excellent. Mealtimes were very good and staff were friendly, helpful and friendly with Irish charm. My room was very good with a very comfortable bed with lots of pillows. Staff were always helpful and courteous. A small item lacking to me was no wash cloths not provided in bathroom.

we stayed at the hotel for 2 nights, which is in the town of Roscrea as we had a familly occasion nearby in Shinrone, a village 10 km away. The location is central, with shops and pubs nearby. There was a very good band playing in the bar on the sat night and it was lively and good fun. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My husband and I had a double room which was very spacious and comfortable. There is no elevator, not so bad as it is only 3 storey, but would be awkward for someone who is not very mobile. In the bar, and in the cafe attatched to the hotel in which they served breakfast, we found it very draughty at times. We found the menu and wine selection in the bar to be very limited.
