Our stay could not have been better from the moment we arrived at the hotel. Very warm welcome, great food and an excellent clean room, with a sea view that I'm pretty certain we had not paid for. Very friendly bar staff and we had an excellent bar meal. 10/10.
Location, great breakfast, comfortable room, convenient parking across the road. Would stay there again if we were in the area.
Staff super friendly and they remember you from other family members or from last time in the hotel.
Room was clean, the breakfast was one of the best on our entire trip. The staff in the morning serving breakfast was super friendly.
Didn't seem particularly handicapped-friendly with steps halfway down the hall. We had to carry our luggage up the steps which seemed odd. A bit tricky to unload and then find parking as there is none at the hotel and there was construction going on during our stay.
Absolutely everything. From the efficiency of the staff to the most comfortable beds.
Pity no leisure centre.
Food was lovely esp. The carvery
Good location. Helpful staff.Clean room.Enjoyed our meal.
Nothing really. Returning visitor booked late and price without breakfast to much.
Everything - you are close to city centre, Waterford Crystal Factory and the historic Viking Triangle. Parking is free and across the street. Breakfast was delicious and there was so much to choose from. Room was lovely and clean. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Staff very friendly

Exceptional front desk personnel. Lovely comfortable room. Clean, clean, clean.
We requested a quiet room, which was lovely, everything about this hotel was perfect.
everything was fine.
Spacious room that was very comfortable, beds and pillows. Very clean and staff was very courteous and helpful. Walking distance to Waterford crystal and town center.
Warm and friendly welcome staff very helpful regarding facitities and parking arrangements. Room well appointed and comfortable. An additional bonus was the provision of bottles of both still and sparkling water. Breakfast was well organised and efficient. The smoked salmon and scrambled egg absolutely delicious, did not try the alcoholic porridge on offer. Will return.
We liked everything about the Granville. Would highly recommend the Granville to any one intending to travel to Waterford. I would rate this hotel a 10
We loved our rooms, food was delicious. Staff very helpful!! Location was accessible for exploring Waterford.
That we had to leave. :((
Everything was great. We would highly recommend astay here.
Service with a smile. Music. Overall an enjoyable stay.
Room felt hot and couldn`t open window until after music died. A few more healthier options for breakfast would be nice. The spuds for example I got had absolutely no nutritional value I fear.
Staff, bedroom, dinner, breakfast all superb. A minor housekeeping issue in the room was dealt with incredibly well. All the staff were top notch. I have stayed in many hotels, The Granville is up there with the best of them!
Air con in the bar was too strong. I was with a group so could not move. Sounds really petty I think!
The hotel is of a very high standard. we were particularly impressed by the high quality of produce and speed of our breakfast.
Lots of noise during the night as lot of holiday makers appeared to leave very early. we were in a bedroom close to a small flight of stair on the 4th floor and found it very noisey at 5 30 am approx. as customers appeared to pull their luggage down the stair.s
It is so central, located as it is in the centre of the quay in Waterford. There is a terrific bar food facility and, in my view, you don't need to look further for food options. They also organise excellent informal evening entertainment there. However, there is also a very fine restaurant where breakfast and evening dinner is served. The hotel is in the centre of a really good shopping area. Those staying in the Granville should check out Dunmore East and Tramore for sight-seeing. The Granville staff are particularly helpful.
I have stayed there a number of times and I can honestly say that I have never felt the need to complain.
