Great location, 5 mins walking to the bus coach and just around the corner from the train station.

Very noisy at night especially with your room being on Erye Square!! My minibar was empty on this stay for some weird reason!! But usually it's full.

Excellent location in the heart of Galway city, a beautiful and stylishly- furnished building with a lot of history and old world charm.

Staff were a bit hit and miss.

Staff were extremely helpful, got an upgrade on one room as we were celebrating a family occasion. No extra charge. Large room with two beds and really much bathroom-spacious. jaccuzzi was hot, in a quiet part of the spa and very relaxing.hotel was peaceful with a lovely foyer to sit aroud after a hard days shopping! Yet still in the city centre.walked everywhere-even in heels! Wonderful stay. Spa treatments also very relaxing and good value-2 half hr treatments of choice for €55.

hot tub a little cool car park is €5 per night.worth it for location.

Lovely building, great city. The suite we stayed in was huge and immaculate. Very large comfy bed.

Its position on the square means if you stay at the front of the hotel you will get alot of noise from revellers, traffic & steel beer kegs being bounced on the pavement in the very early morning when they restock the pubs on the square!!

I loved everything. It was a pleasure from the moment we pulled up outside untill we left the following day.

Very disappointed, asked for quite room looking onto eyre square. Was given a noisy room at back of hotel loading bay area , also buses and cars were a constant and major noise on the fri night from revelers in rooms both sides ,My Car was valet parked nearby @ 5 euro per day extra.. I had to make sure I needed nothing from it during stay as otherwise too much hassle to access it. Reception asked for my credit card on arrival albeit I had already booked on internet using it. I said I did not want payment taken out as my partner would pay on checkout, I was assured this was for security only and I was made to feel stupid for mentioning it. When my partner went to settle the bill He was told it had already been payed by my credit card. I had no time to follow this up as I was preparing to go to wedding ceremony,

The decor of the ground floor was very attractive and impressive. I liked the champagne tea choice on the menus and the history info. The buffet was lovely and the staff were nice even though they were very busy. The appearance of the hotel from the outside is stately and grand. It was one of the reasons I chose to stay there. I loved how it looked onto Eyre square. It is to me, one of the most iconic and impressive sites in Galway City. I am happy to say I stayed there rather than a place like the Radisson which has no history.

On waking up on the Saturday, we found water dripping from the room above us into our bathroom. This smelled and covered everything in the area below in water. Thankfully the staff worked quickly to fix this and I was very happy with the way they handled it. The room was one of the smallest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. I feel I could have gotten a bigger room in another hotel for cheaper but this did not really affect us. I would recommend the hotel but mention our experience with the water. I wouldn't recommend staying in the smaller rooms when the rest of the place is so beautiful, it feels like your staying in servant’s quarters, especially with the architecture of the building. UNLESS, This was marketed as servant's quarters somhow. That would be very interesting ans would draw in business.

The hotel is ideal for city break. The comfort friendly staff. Very helpful

It's location could not be better for a trip to Galway

The night porter was extremely rude and I don't think there is any other hotel except this one that dosnt allow friends that are allso staying in the hotel come to your large suite for drinks!
