In the heart of Limerick, the 4-star award-winning Limerick Strand Hotel is next to the River Shannon. The luxurious hotel has spacious rooms, a steam room, and 2 hot tubs.
Score from 437 reviews Excellent
Staff very friendly and helpful. Room had window that opened properly so room temp can be adjusted as you like. Extras asked for (one double bed instead or two single bed/ not on ground floor) were given.
Price bit steep when hotel is so far from city. Taxi adds €5-€8 onto cost each way. Double bed was actually two single mattresses together. Very small but an annoyance all the same
attitude of staff helpwith directions
Good value food in bar Pleasant staff
Distance from town
Breakfast service was quick and great!
All of it
Going home :(
great bed, clean, quiet, good facilities
would have been good if the tv on wall could be turned so could watch from chairs. extra towels for swimming on request, not use room towels. not enough lights in room, very dark at all times. would have been nice to have biscuits and hot chocolate sachets in room
Perfect location for Munster match at Thomand Park. Excellent value for money.
Menu for evening meals was very basic. Room was very dated.
The price of our stay was 69 Room only. Which was a good price,Receptionist was very helpful and courteous Lady.
This hotel is extremely cold both in the main corridors and reception and also in the bedrooms. Also the lifts also wasn't working! Serious investment required here by the owners.
The hotel was busy, and staff were friendly and helpful. Easy access to excellent leisure facilities, ladies changing rooms are very well maintained, everything functioning well.!!
As an 'Insular Londoner' it takes a while to adjust to the genuine warmth of the 'Irish Welcome' as absolutely epitomized by the staff at Greenhills. Thanks for helping me adjust in a 'Limerick Heartbeat'
My personal crusade is that all hotels should pay more attention to the pillows they offer. As a regular traveller I'm constantly amazed to find clean, comfortable, well adorned beds sorely let down by really poor (almost non existent in some cases) pillows. Decent feather pillows PLEASE
Staff were great.Food was excellent.Overall a good experience.
Radiator was faulty so room was too hot first night
Location Hot breakfast Waitress in dining room
Regret that I requested a high floor as we got a dated room off a dreary corridor & not one of the newly decorated bedrooms on ground floor. Housekeeping very poor in room! Dining room self service cabinet needs replacing!
Food - Evening meal was a reheated lunch. A simply meal such as Chicken Maryland was disgusting. Bar tender passed on our comments to the chef apparently. Room heat was overwhelming with no way to regulate. Wifi was dismissal. Staff don't care, no greeting or effort made to resolve problems
Staff were lovely and accommodating.
When I booked online, I had booked a family room and when I got there they only had record of a double room. Not the hotels fault but error with Booking.com I ended up having to pay more for a family room. Will not be booking through here again.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Tasty, hearty bar food
Found the hum of the generator quite annoying at night
Two bulbs in bathroom didn't work. Tv channels were not working.
Good location, good parking and availability of leisure centre
Location good service good generally very comfortable
Loved the hotel. Restaurant was excellent. Best breakfast service I have EVER had.
Reception staff. Cold unfriendly not engaging. To busy looking at their computer. Never a good morning or hows it going or had a nice day, Nothing and these are the first people you encounter at the hotel, Sets the tone!!
Owner greeted us on arrival and sent a complimentary pot of tea up to our room
Old fashioned tv
Excellent WiFi - it was flying. No problem in looking at movies on Netflix on the iPad - best of any hotel in Ireland or overseas I've stayed in. Breakfast was very good. Waitress in restaurant was lovely. Dinner was very reasonably priced and quality was good.
Receptionist could have been nicer but overall not bad.
Friendly staff great hotel over all
Location, bar food
Room very dated, old feel to it. Awful ceiling, definitely needs updating
