Love the hotel. Staff friendly.Really clean and the food is great.
The only fault that I found was it was to hot. The heat was overpowering. It was a cold day and yet the heat was sickening. That's the second time I have stayed in your hotel. And both times the heat was to much. Otherwise I could not fault it. It has put me off staying there again because of this reason.
Excellent location, service was excellent, happy welcoming employees that really went out of there way to help you & make your stay enjoyable. Food was excellent. Excellent value for money. Could not fault the Greville Arms Hotel. We will definitely be back again. Love Mullingar too.
no hot water in the morning for a shower - technical problem
Location excellent. Centre of town. Friendly staff. Reception particularly helpful. Breakfast choice good & liked the friendly engagement staff had with each individual customer. Room functional with tea/coffee making facilities.
Wife was given a brandy glass for her wine @ dinner ! Minor issue - overall would find little to complain about this hotel
The feel of the hotel was one of comfort and had a relaxed atmosphere.
Location of the hotel Friendliness of staff, Excellent Breakfast and bar facilities.
The bathroom & everything in it prob have been there since 1970's. The horrible wall dark grey floral tiles & grimey grey floor tiles to the avocado suit with purple toilet seat really need to go. The sink was in the bedroom also avocado green. No duvet for one of the singles beds, they dropped up a kingsize throw folded into four, way to heavy to use on bed.
Restaurant nd food very good
Hotel in general carpets ect very gruby
Most enjoyable stay!
Couldn't gain acess to room on second nights stay! No explanation why!
Staff very friendly. Great location.
Smell of smoke in bedroom. The ash tray was still left in the room after staff re-freshed the room ? Was offered another room, which was grim, dark & in a basement type place.
No dislikes except for below
Just found it very cosy
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The building is beautiful, with a lot of dedication to James Joyce, who used to stay there. The oak staircase and gallery was incredible and a really interesting original feature. I took advantage of room service for dinner and was more than happy with the food provided. As I was leaving later in the day, the reception staff did not bat an eye lid when I asked if I could leave my bags until the afternoon.
My room was a little cold but overall, extremely comfortable.
Very friendly staff. Great location. Bedroom very comfy
No a great selection for dairy and gluten intolerance at breakfast.
The staff were friendly (and apologetic).
I cannot believe the current booking.com rating for this hotel - at 8.3 it is seriously over-rated. This hotel is badly run, dark, dank and smelly and poor value for money. We asked for a quiet room and ended up with a hen-party next-door that went on half the night.
Friendliness of staff ...
Staff very friendly and helpful as original room was quite dark and smelled of smoke. We were moved to a lovely room which was much better.
Original room was not fit for purpose.
No tea making facility in room. Bed had only very light blanket. Lighting fixtures were broken. Curtain pole was broken. Toilet was not even flushed after last occupants. TV remote control did not work. Compared to other cheaper hotels, the service was shocking. Apart from location, this hotel is completely over-rated. I also found the staff member on the desk to be extremely unfriendly and unhelpful.
Staff, surroundings ,
Beer , leaks , water coming, leaking in roof
The rooms where good The bar , reception and restaurant where all good and nicely decorated
The bathrooms where very dated and in need of an upgrade I didn't feel the bedrooms and bathrooms where up to the same standard as the main public areas
Very well kept hotel clean, staff very polite and helpful, breakfast very good well presented.
Clean cosy hotel in centre of mullingar, everything clean and a great breakfast
Food was fab staff were very helpful
Rooms and bathroom were old but clean
I loved the decor of the room, there was lovely ambiance of the hotel softly lit up with candles with a relaxed atmosphere from the moment we checked in.. A great selection was available for breakfast which was included in the price with staff checking your milk was topped up and everything was ok - excellent rate for weary travellers
Only that there was a gap in the bed where it was joined together is my only minor fault
Very friendly staff
Room was a little cold
