Modern and spacious, these apart-hotel suites are located in the centre of Mullingar with free parking, and linked to the hotel through a glass walkway.
Score from 124 reviews Wonderful
very old hotel, lots of stairways in different places. We originally got parked on the street right in front of the hotel - should have stayed there. The lot out back is very crowded,
not a lot to do in Mullingar. We tried to find the aqueduct, think we did, but the locals are unaware of it. Not really a problem.
Really good food both in the bar and the breakfast.
Had to leave
A warm friendly place wonderful staff.
The car park is too small for the demand !
car parking a problem
History Good room Full sized bath Nice well trained staff You could ask for special Breakfast no problem OK parking Properly cooked steak, yum!
Very good for price, but a gym would be a nice addition
I liked the friendly staff and the food was very good
The bathrooms in my room is in bad need of updating
Lovely hotel great location looking forward to my next stay.
this is a perfect hotel in the centre of town . the staff were friendly ,the room was perfect and the breakfast was excellent . I will give it a full 10 out of 10 .
Atmosphere, music, location room nice though small
Breakfast bit of a slop Too much noise from corridors Staff need to be quiet in corridors Hotel could do with an upgrade
Location and Staff food not bad
Room 135 a disgrace. Dirty carpet bad ventilation. Remote control on tv not working unable to open window. The worst room I ever stayed in
Location, atmosphere, history, service
Bit noisy at night (not directly hotel's fault), TV remote didn't work
Staff were very helpful. No complaints about any staff whatsoever. Entertainment on Saturday night was great. Bed was comfortable & bed linen clean.
Parking facilities are a joke - extremely limited. No soundproofing in bedroom. I might as well have put my bed in the middle of the street - never slept all night. Didn't have breakfast as I wanted to get home to go to bed & get some sleep!!! I got room 103 - wash hand basin located in room and ensuite consisted of wine coloured toilet & bath and was absolutely TINY. No hot water in hand basin. 3 hotel sized conditioning shampoos!!!!!! No shower gel & no soap!!!!!!! Overall room required major modernisation. I can't comment on food as I didn't eat in the hotel. My room overlooked a side street where taxi rank was located so very noisy with revellers queuing for taxis. Extremely noisy road sweeper arrived at some ungodly hour - fast food restaurant located opposite hotel & with taxi rank - I presume by the length of time it was outside that a major clean had to be completed. The noise from it was DEAFENING. It was a noisy noisy noisy room - zero sleep. I was like a witch from lack of sleep - so much so that I skipped breakfast in order to get home to bed!!!!!!! I wouldn't stay there again but I would socialise in the bar.
Centre of Town
Bedroom very dated, badly in need of a revamp, no WIFI in the bedroomrooms. Bathroom needed a good cleaning, Never Again. Up there as one of the worst hotel bedrooms I've stayed in, could not wait to leave the place.
Breakfast was good,Good bar staff
An old out of date room, nothing like what's in this website photos,No hot water in the shower went to the manager tells let the water run for 20 minutes, asked to change rooms to which the nice girl at reception did for us, to a lumply mattress for a bed, remote control for the TV not working, breakfast served the next morning at 11.00am to which me like a lie on when we're on a break, only to be woke at 9.30 by two members of staff in the corridor chatting, with no regard for people staying the hotel trying to sleep on for a while. After collecting our break fast from the counter only to find loads of uncleaned tables in the breakfast area,to which we had to go to the bar area were the tables are higher than the seats for eating at. This was Not a good experience for us to stay at this and to be charged full price, not good
Annmarie, the very pleasant receptionist was brilliant, getting us all organised etc. The bar staff and breakfast staff and food were also excellent! I would highly recommend this hotel to other friends and family!
Nothing to report
The staff couldn't enough for me, would highly recommend this hotel, I stayed a few years ago & the standard is still excellent. Carol Evans from Manchester.
Everything was fantastic had a brilliant weekend
Great food choices, polite and efficient staff, clean and well equipped bedrooms and bathroom. Great entertainment in the lounges.
Staff were good, food in the bar was lovely
No lift and I was travelling with my elderly father stairs were a problem. Loud music playing late into the night
We loved the warm welcoming athmoshere from the minute we came through the front door. The staff really enjoy doing their job and it shows in the way they meet and greet everyone. Lots of cosy spots to relax in the public areas. The room was very spacious clean and relaxing. We had a great stay.
Just one minor point when we went to the Bar for a night cap we could hear the beat of music from another area of the hotel.
Loved the fact it was in the town n near everything n lovely shops realy enjoyed our stay their n will go back again
Room was comfortable.
The noise of the occupants next door on my first night was distressing. This went right through the night until after 5.00 a.m. next morning
Comfy bed, clean room maybe a little dated but everything we needed. Hotel is full of character with lots of nooks & crannys. Great entertainment in the bar. The breakfast was served until 11am & was one of the tastiest we've had in along time. The lady serving the breakfast was so friendly. Shauna on reception was so interested in wether we enjoyed our stay- we will be back & definitely recommend this hotel!
Staff tried to make it a good stay, they were friendly.
Dark, dull, dirty. It seems the Hotel has not been touched for 50 years. If you have night vision, you might be able the food they serve in the bar. Otherwise it's "stabbing in the dark"
location of room looking out on flat roof. the bar room floor and surfaces were dirty the bed was two single beds pushed togeather the wash hand basin taps were dirty the taps on the bath were difficult to opperate
