Nice bar area and reasonable food. There was no heating in the room we were given (116) and despite asking twice that this be rectified it wasn't. Luckily there was a portable sauna unit in the room, so we just left that running for a while with the door open to warm up the place.

the staff were excellent and really friendly. You could alos order breakfast up to 12 pm and cooked order. The whole place was very cold most of the time and the heating only seemed to come on for anhour a day.

The staff were welcoming on arrival. Everything else about this hotel suggested it was in the middle of a cost cutting and corner cutting exercise: the heat was only on for a few hours each morning (mid-November); no servicing of the room on the second day; on the first morning the emphasis at breakfast was on what was not available; on the second morning breakfast was in absolute disarray (one bored-looking member of staff left to run the bar and cover the tables, completely different - and therefore confusing - arrangements from the day before, no instructions given about whether it was self-service or not). I've had far better quality and comfort from a chain budget hotel. This was bed and brekfast at its most basic. There are much better options in Roscommon for a few Euro more.

Convenient location Seemed very empty. Room not heated. Owner said heating on a timer, but it didn't come on while I was there. Electrical and plasterwork not finished properly. Food only average.

It is a family run hotel and you were aware of that from the minute you arrived , I was there with 10 other people rangeing in ages from 3 to 38 years , my son and his friend were cycling in the national championships so that was the reason for our 2 day stay , the food was lovely the rooms warm and comfortable maybe not large enough for some people but they had the added bonus of breakfast being served until 12 noon which was fantastic and delicious, they had a lift , dining room , large bar and pleny of parking, I honestly couldn't fault the place . they were also just finishing redecorating .would stay again without a doubt........ All of the above

It was convenient, and fairly reasonably priced The food was fairly basic, and not always as described on the menu, even though the waitress tried to convince me that it was. The front door was locked after a certain time, and we had to ring a phone number to get in. The shower was a bit dodgy and difficult to get to the right temperature. The building itself is built for purpose, with no attempt to make the grounds around it pleasant - they are just a huge car park!

The location was very important as we had to visit a friend 15 km's from Roscommon and there is not much available in the surroundings. It is easy to find right at the beginning of the town. Also important was that the kitchen is open until 9.0 p.m. Breakfast is included is a very important thing although we are no big eaters.
