Great location and also a very peaceful place. You could walk in the mountains or visit towns in the surroundings. We went to Lismore castle and garden, lovely. Beautiful rooms with jacuzzi. Excellent breakfast and dinner. You could pack a lunch of scones and fruit for your activities during the day. The hostess, Mary, was so kind and giving a lot of good advices of places to visit.

The welcoming cup of tea and muffin. The Jacuzzis were sublime. Dinner and breakfast were feasts fit for queens. The Staff were exceptionally friendly, everyone taking time out to speak to us and ascertain if we were okay at all times.Any question we asked was answered including drawing maps to our next sightseeing venture. . Loved the lounges, you could relax in comfort and privacy and still feel you were not alone the way the seating is arranged. As for the brook bubbling along wonderful place to sit and read . Thanks Mary and all for a lovely break.

Cannot fault anything. Wish it was a little nearer so could visit more often.

Hanora's is tucked away off the beaten path. You can relax, decompress, and take in the beautiful countryside. Mary was an attentive hostess; offering tea and muffins on arrival, suggesting places to go, making us feel at home and pampered. Breakfast was a bountiful spread and Mary even insisted that we take some for the road. Hanora's was my favorite of all the places we stayed on our week's tour of Ireland.

That I only had one night to stay.

Staff - fantastic Food - Breakfast was second to none Being served pre-dinner drinks on the outside patio - absolutely no trouble to the staff.

Very comfortable but maybe a little dated? Dinner - fab but maybe a tad over-priced compared to similar in Dungarvan...

The warm and friendly wellcome let us feel at home from the first minute. We liked the breakfast with the home made jams, fresh compotes, scones and breads; the tasty strawberries, raspberries and more... simply the best breakfast we had in Ireland. The dinner was excellent at a moderate price considering the quality. We enjoyed the quiet location near the river. Hanora's is the perfect place to enjoy the beauty of Ireland's landscapes and the Irish hospitality at its best.

From the moment we arrived, the welcome was warm and friendly. Accomodation was excellent with double jacuzzi in the room which was a welcome suprise. Food was excellent and staff could not have been more accomodating. Scones and fruit provided for picnic along with haversack and walking sticks! All in all, a great little hide away, well worth a visit!

Returning home after the weekend! All to brief... but will make a return visit!

The location is very beautiful although difficult to find. All the party enjoyed the breakfast.

Although the bathroom was huge there was no shower, just a big jacuzzi. The evening meal was quite good but vastly overpriced. The location of the property meant we were captive.

Everything! This was our third visit to Hanora's Cottage, and our short stay was a delight, as usual; worth every mile of the drive from Dublin. The welcome from Mary and her staff represents Irish hospitality at its best: relaxed and genuine, and with abundance in everything. From the warmth and charm of the personalities, to the food, the luxuriant Nire Valley as its location - AND - the BREAKFAST - everything is in abundance. The breakfast - as your reviewer describes it - was a feast of berries, yoghurts, stewed fruits of all varieties and a marvellous selection of breads, cheeses, scones - and that was before a cooked breakfast was offered, and a packed lunch for the journey home. This place is a find. I wouldn't even want to tell anyone else about it (to preserve this unspoilt haven) only that Mary and her staff and family deserve to have her home on the cover of every magazine promoting Irish Tourism. Nothing is too much trouble at Hanora's. And no brief review does it justice. JUST GO THERE. Thank you, Mary, Ina, and all who make Hanora's Cottage a special place.

Gorgeous setting by the arched stone bridge with running stream and rural/forest setting. The quality of the cottage oozes class and true country comfort. Genuine, friendly greeting by Mary, Eoin and Judith. A 'grand' stay.
