Ballinasloe,co Roscommon
This beautifully reconstructed, stone-built, 18th century mill is built around an open-air courtyard and now houses 4-star luxury self-catering apartments, each offering stylish, spacious and modern accommodations. The apartments are situated on Westport harbor, just a short stroll from the charming heritage town of Westport, Ireland's Tidiest Large Town 2009/10. The town has beautiful Blue-Flag beaches, fine dining, lively nightlife, plenty of adventure activities and Croagh Patrick mountain. All of the apartments are full of character and charm and are designed to the highest standards, with pine floors throughout. Each apartment has a spacious open-plan kitchen with a dining and living area. The master bedrooms have private attached bathrooms, while the second bedrooms have access to a guest bathroom. Harbour Mill offers all the freedom, independence and convenience of an apartment, with the services of a hotel, including 24-hour reception, an on-site sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, as well as complimentary access to a swimming pool and gym. With 3 young girls, it fitted our needs perfectly, the two bedrooms gave us extra freedom when the children were gone to bed. The kids playroom and availability of free swimming pool access made this a no-brainer for us to book into the Harbour Mill apartments - the kids loved both. These all helped us parents to chill out and relax also. We found the reception staff to be very friendly and helpful, and the agreed money off deal with the nearby Asgard restaurant was also very good.

Very enjoyable 4night stay at the Harbour Mills. Spaciouarmsarm, unspoilt view of the Harbour. Great for kids with a very clean kiddies room containing lots of good toys and books for kids. Plenty of restaurants within close proximity of apts. Westport House within walking distance. Staff extremely pleasant. Will return again in the spring. Very creaky floor boards and spring doors were annoying. Car Park had very tight spaces, however had option to park outside on street.

The staff were really excellent...couldn't do enough to help organise day trips, eating out etc. Much quieter at night than I expected too...I Thought with it being a bank holiday weekend it would get a little rowdy at night be we had no problems at all in that regard. The enclosed car park filled up quite quickly and some of the spaces were impossible to get into even with a small car so you would be in trouble if you had a people carrier!

Ther staff were very friendly the apartment was very clean and spacious, beds very comfortable. A) Having to leave by 10.00am,11.00am would be better B) Lighting in the apartment was hard to understand even though there was an instruction leaflet. Needed to visit reception for further information

Absolutely loved this place! Staff were just superb, really, they were just so welcoming and were so helpful. Room was gorgeous, 2 bedrooms with one ensuite, spotless! Brought our 15 month son, and it was perfect for him, with his own bedroom (they supplied cot and highchair free)! He loved running around the apartment, lovely and spacious. Downstairs they have a beautiful kids playroom with a wine bar attached, lifesaver! So handy to have especially if weather is bad! Would definetly recommend this place and cannot wait to return.

I liked the space in the apartments. I also liked the heated towel rail and the washing machine - both very useful for washing and drying. The apartment was very comfortable. The staff were also helpful and friendly. We could not get a rate for 7 days and ended up paying for 4 nights and then 3 nights which made it quite expensive. That would be my only complaint.

The apartments were spacious, clean and well equipped. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The apartments are about a mile from the town so we either had to take the car or a taxi into town as the weather was terrible

The apartment was stunning with its harbour view, it was spacious, bright and spotless clean. We were very happy with the complimentary upgrade to a harbour view but feel we could be disappointed in the future with a courtyard view.

All good, loved self catering as eating out can be very expensive, loved the space and cleanliness of apartment, liked the feeling of being in a safe and secure accommodation, and even though the underground parking can be a little daunting due to very tight spaces, I did like being able to park in a secure, enclosed space. Enjoyed the location. I did find the price a little steep for one adult and two children sharing, but did realise this before booking.

We liked the welcome pack of tea/coffee and milk that was left for us,nice touch.found the apartments nice and spacious and great for familys.great base for all activities,Westport House is only a stroll away.Great for family fun and Croagh Patrick is only a short drive away for those feeling more adventurous. And the complimentary use of the leisure facilities was great.Plenty of bars and restaurants on your door step and a centra just around the corner. The staff were very friendly and helpfull. We would stay here again. Nothing bad to say.

Staff very friendly ,easy access ,secure parking the only thing I would suggest is to supply a small amount of washing up liquid and a pot scrub. Also a cloth to dry the bathroom floor as water escapes from the shower curtain.
