Harcourt Hotel60 Harcourt Street, Saint Stephen's Green, D2 Dublin (Show map) Good, Score from 591 reviews“Was pleasantly surprised how quiet the hotel was compared to other hotels that are very close by on Harcourt Street. We got a great deal €49 for a twin room and it was a good quality room we stayed in. Staff very pleasant too.”

Perfect location and huge family room.Pleasant staff. Big breakfast.Great location to St. Stephen's Green, Dublinia, Trinity College, St Patrick's and Christ Church. Temple Bar walking distance too. Noisy and the pub on the premises is expensive with mediocre food.

It was brilliant value for money, very central to City center. The building has lots of authentic Georgian features. The disco, it was right outside our window under a marquee. Brilliant if you want to party, not great for sleeping ! Luckily had a few drinks on board and slept fine. The room was a little small but adequate.

Hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly, especially when we had a problem with the hotel room we were initially booked into. One of the receptionists offered to get me a coffee whilst I waiting for a cab - very nice! Our first room had problems but this was dealt with quickly and we were put in a much better, second one. Fairly comfortable bed and good bathroom facilities. Breakfast was adequate but not particularly "top notch". Decent bar with a range of drinks and quite a good menu. Nice "antique" style to the hotel (it's a Georgian building) and it's in a lovely location (St Stephen's Green and the main shopping area are about 5 minutes' walk away). A word of warning - don't book a room in the street-facing part of the hotel! There is a nightclub in the basement of the hotel which is open for the latter part of the week/weekends and this might affect your ability to sleep at night. The room we were in first was directly above the club and looked out onto Harcourt Street. Plus it wasn't double- glazed - not great. When people congregate outside the hotel waiting to go into the club it gets very noisy! The central heating isn't automatic and is only turned if you ask (which we didn't know about!) TVs in the room could do with updating - perched up high and quite small. The first room also suffered from a blocked sink, pretty disgusting. We voiced our complaints and were moved to another room particularly quickly, something in the hotel's favour. Although there were quite a lot of positives, on balance I don't think we'd choose to stay here again.

Bed very comfortable. Room out dated but clean. Location central and convienent Worse coffee I have ever tasted it was cheap and rightly so but would have been happy to pay extra for a "drinkable cup" . Desk staff could be friendlier but will give benefit of doubt as it was a stressful evening with adverse weather conditions.

Room advertised as being down from €199 to €49. The room I was staying in was certainly never worth that amount but for €49 it was fine. More akin to an avg b&b than a hotel to be honest.

1. location - great for accessing city centre & dundrum shopping 2. safe location - relatively safe walk from city centre 1. my room had v. soft, worn out mattress - uncomfortable 2. my room had a used earplug on the floor - poor hygiene control 3. staff at reception were a little terse on arrival. Were good at departure however 4. tv in bedroom was tiny & mounted too high, practically on ceiling - both made it uncomfortable to watch from bed

Location of hotel We spent three sleepless nights because of the loud music from the partying and disco in the hotel's garden. I felt no respect was shown towards patrons!

very conveniently located for walking around dublin noisy at night due to activity on the street around the hotel. advertised as having free wifi throughout the hotel, but wifi only available in common areas of the hotel on the ground floor, not in rooms, and it was not a fast connection.

If you are wanting to get a feel for Dublin nightlife then this is a pretty good hotel. It is 10 minutes from the main shopping areas too. It is very noisy at night so if its a quiet break or an early night you are after then this is most definitely not the place to go. The bar and nightclub were pretty lively, drink was very expensive and the food was pretty reasonable and quite good. The staff were very helpful and pleasant however i found that the rooms on the website were not a true reflection of reality. I had booked a 2 bed suite and got one room with 5 beds packed pretty tightly into it. We had booked and paid for 5 people and only got 4 towels left in the bathroom. The rooms were pretty tired and in dire need of redecoration.

Everything was nice about this hotel, except that it is very-very loud, even in the more quiet area. The noise, the noise, the noise. People outside shouting until 3 AM or so.
