Its very central, cosy and great value for money, My second time staying and will do more in the future
greatly increased price due to England/Ireland rugby match
Great location, fabulous pub, spottlesly clean, warm and cosy, brilliant bartender Marious, food in pub delicious, elevator to rooms. Lovely church bells.....and this list goes on...almost perfect! Great front desk who arranged many things for us. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!
Nothing bad happened here at all....only good things.
al of it
Friendly staff Good central location Good food choices included
Mattress lumpy TV awful - did not work No clock in room
For my money, there's simply not s better place to stay. The location is exceptional: around the corner from the Airlink 747 stop, walking distance to Guinness, Jameson, Temple Bar, etc. And the staff is amazing! They responded promptly to my emails, assisted with my lost bag, and just seemed really interested in making sure we had a great stay. The bar is cool with great food and live music. I loved every minute.
Good location,great bar and bistro
The noise from the bells of Christchurch cathedral
Easy access to my favourite theatre, Smock Alley and easy walks to the centre of the city and places of interest.
Room spacious although signs of age e.g. small older style tv. Outstanding food & attached pub.
Easy walk to major attractions. Area felt very safe to move about in.
The Hotel was central to all the pubs and Venues i wanted to Visit. Will stay there again for sure,
The hotel was clean, staff friendly, bar had an amazing atmosphere and the breakfast in the bistro was delicious.
Comfy beds, clean room, right on the doorstop of Temple Bar, easy access to bus stops, friendly and helpful staff (like lending us a corkscrew, thanks Johnny!)
Our room faced the cathedral and whilst the clock chiming every 15 mins don't bother me, it did disturb both my friends sleep on the first night.
Close to central town on route of dublin airport bus
Oposite the church with qctive chimesand bells throughout the day
Locality, Restaurant, Staff, Comfortable, all good.
WC was not working well, Shower was slow to operate properly.
Location, location, location. A great little hotel right in Dublin City Centre. Couldn't beat it for price or location. It was clean and comfortable The staff were friendly and helpful. I will definitely use it again
Nice Location, close to Dublin Castle
Personal thermostat, usable Internet, helpful staff, great location, affordable prices, quiet room, warm spacious shower, clean.
House cleaning woke me up early, pillows felt like they should be replaced.
It's a well looked-after hotel all round. Friendly and helpful staff. The building is right right next to Christchurch cathedral. Bus stops - including for Dublin Bus' "Airlink" airport service - are very close by and anyway it's in close walking distance of many other rated tourist spots. Spacious, well appointed bedrooms. The breakfasts in the hotel's bistro were tasty, well prepared and the service was very good.
There's only unfortunately one lift so if the housekeeping staff are using this in the morning be prepared to use the stairs to get back up to your room.
Staff were friendly and helpful. The room (a triple) was spacious and clean and the location was great.
The heating seems to be on constantly, so this can make the room unbearably warm. We did receive a fan from reception promptly after it was requested. However, it was a bit old and noisey, so we didn't really use it. As we requested a double room, two single beds in the triple room had been pushed together to make a double (with a double sheet over the mattresses). This can make for an uncomfortable nights sleep. I did not bring this issue to the staff, had I, I'm confident they would have been very helpful in locating another room for us to stay in in.
The room was spotless , everything u needed was supplied and great value for money . We had dinner in Darkey KEllys bar and the food was great and again was a lot cheaper than anywhere else we looked at.
I loved the location of the hotel. It was in walking distance of everything I wanted to see and I didn't have to bother with a bus pass. I was comfortable leaving and returning to the hotel after dark because it was so near the main street and well lit. The sheets and bathroom were thankfully clean - I always worry about that when I see such a good price.
Though the sheets and bathroom were clean, I wouldn't walk on the carpet bare foot. I walked around in socks and the bottom of my socks turned black. The television was only a small 13-inch tube set with 12 channels. I didn't mind because I didn't spend much time in the room and prefer reading anyway. The hotel's great location does come at a cost. I could often hear traffic from the main street and drunks leaving Temple Bar which was only a few streets over. Also, the Cathedral next door tolls the time. My first night, I turned the television on low to drown out the noise to fall asleep.
