Easy parking!

We had to call them because when we arrived the guest house was closed and had to wait 10 minutes for them to come and give us a room. The room was so tiny we could not move around! We only had a double bed against a wall! We wouldn't recommend to others.

Location

No staff in the place at all. We had to wait for the keys to arrive and then we didn't see them anymore. The toilet was dirty.

Clean crisp sheets and relaxing room with beverage facilities. Great view from front rooms and short walk to local aminities and harbour.

The ensuites would be too small for some of my family to move in comfortably and the view from rear facing room was dismal

Very clean and conveniently located in the town for most of the ammenities. The view from the room across the harbour was beautiful ,the room was not large but enough for two. Overall we had a good weekend, well wed to sun.

The only problem was getting booked in,the owners are located at the bella vista so sometimes you have to wait .in our case the lady who was supposed to be meeting us had gone shopping . we had a problem with using the numbers left in the window for contact ,our phones would not allow calls and said number not recognised but was able to contact family members who called the main hotel and within 30 mins we where in our room .. rest of the break went with out a hitch as we had keys.

Thuis guesthouse had 2 good rooms with view on the harbour. The otter rooms are very very very small (5m2 /6m2). The small rooms are ok for 1 person, not for 2 and 35/40 euro is enough. There were no guests for the bigger rooms en nobody offers is one of that rooms.

The location

No one was there to let us in. If not for other guests staying there, we would not have been admitted. They gave us a card for the Bella Vista which we contacted. Someone from the Bella Vista then came to Harley's to give us our keys. A very strange arrangement. The other guests told us there had been a death in the family which we were very sorry to hear of, but we should have been notified of the change in our checking in procedure. If the other guests had not been there to tell us of our need to contact the Bella Vista, we would have been without a place to stay and we confirmed our reservation with our credit card.

Friendly and accomodating owners and staff. Clean and tasteful design throughout. The staff was very helpful in every way (especially Catherine and William). This small town is beautiful, unique, historic, and friendly. If you can't climb the hilly streets, this is a good place to stay while here, because it is on the lowest end of town near the center of business/sights. The owners also have a great place higher up in town called Bella Vista (true to its name, it has beautiful views of Cobh) which we also stayed at and loved for the same reasons, but hilly streets must be navigated to get down to town. Beautiful locations both.

Nothing. My sister and I wanted to stay longer.

It is not ( any more ) a B`nB, as stated on the webpage. Breakfast is available though at Harleys Bellavista hotel up the hill. And its not self catering either. The kitchen not being available to guests. The webpage should be updated.

We actually were asked if we would like to be upgraded to their sister hotel, the Bella Vista, as workmen would be starting fairly early in the morning,so we did. The suite we got was superb, the welcome was very friendly,we were picked up at the station, and the breakfast was excellent. The views over the sea from our balcony were superb.

Nur bedingt eine Bewertung fürs Guest House. Wir wurden ins zugehörige Bellavista Hotel umgebucht. Kostenloses upgrade, weil wir die einzigen Gäste im Guest House gewesen wären und es so unwirtschaftlich gewesen wäre, beide Häuser zu bewirtschaften. Hätten aber auf Wunsch auch das Guest House beziehen können, wenn auf Buchung bestanden. Unkomplizierte Abwicklung und tolles Personal

Wir wurden upgegradet ins Bella Vista Hotel, welches vom gleichen Besitzer gefuehrt wird. Das Hotel war insgesamt gut - leider kostete Fruehstueck extra.

De ontvangende mevrouw bood veilige parkeerplaats aan bij andere hotel en reed me erh een en weer terug.

Dat er niemand was. Er moest een nummer gebeld worden dat niet aangegeven stond. De lichtbak werkte niet.

Die Lage unten am Hafen ist absolut traumhaft und der Blick auf die Bucht sensationell. Ich habe zwar das Guesthouse gebucht, da aber das gerade umgebaut wurde, habe ich ohne Aufpreis und völlig unkompliziert ein Zimmer im Hoteltrakt arhalten. Die Leute waren außergewöhnlich freundlich. Für mich eine Empfehlung für einen Aufenthalt im Harleys Guesthouse.

I actually got upgraded to the Bella Vista which was nice. Staff there were very friendly and down to earth. Had everything I needed - restaurant/bar/parking/nice clean and warm room.

I am a bit of a nervous driver so this is just a personal thing but I found it a bit tricky parking and reversing out on such a steep slope!! There was a space behind me which had it been occupied I think I would have had to find someone else to get my car out for me!

As it was the end of the season we ended up staying at a close by hotel owned by the same people still a good location and view. Helpfull friendly owners

Sa proximité du centre-ville.

Pas d'accueil à notre arrivée car personne n'est sur place, il nous a fallu téléphoner pour que quelqu'un vienne nous ouvrir et nous donner les clés (nous sommes pourtant arrivés dans le créneau horaire concerté). Chambre minuscule où on a du mal à circuler à deux, pas un tiroir de rangement, pas une patère, un seul cintre, la lampe de chevet ne fonctionne pas. Pas de petit-déjeuner sur place, il aurait fallu se rendre à un hôtel géré par les mêmes propriétaires et de toutes façons, il n'était pas inclus dans le prix. Pour obtenir le reçu de paiement, nous avons dû nous rendre à cet hôtel pour la récupérer. En conclusion, une adresse à éviter.

Harley's was reasonably priced and it is in a good enough location.

When we arrived at Harley's there was no reply when I rang the doorbell, I had to ring the number on the window and wait for somebody to let us in. Our room was quite small but it was clean and comfortable, the bathroom was very small and it was a bit of a struggle to pass the wash hand basin to reach the shower!!! Breakfast was not included which was fine but on the morning of our departure there was nobody around to we pay for our stay, again I had to ring number and got through to the Bella Vista hotel who said they could take the amount due from my credit card, I agreed to this as we didn't want to be hanging around waiting for somebody to turn up. While it is cheap to stay here I wouldn't stay again.

Das Hotel hat eine wunderbare Aussicht zum Meer. Die Zimmer sind sehr großzügig, sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, man fühlt sich willkommen.

Die Matratze in einem der Zimmer war sehr durchgelegen, das verursacht Rückenschmerzen.

The room and bed in particular were tired, the bedding and pillows were in desperate need of renewal.....this left for an uncomfortable stay.

We booked into Harleys as we were attending a wedding in cobh.We arrived in cobh at approx. 7p.m. and the place waw closed.I rang the number on my booking and within 15 minutes a man turned up and offered us an upgrade to the Buena Vista gueshouse.We accepted and stayed there the night where there was a chinese restaurant and a bar,We enjoyed our stay there but I wish they had contacted us before we were due to arrive.

La chambre no 1 est spacieuse et possède de grandes armoires de rangement avec une belle vue sur la baie.

Le personnel: Persone n'étaient présent pour nous ouvrir la porte. On a du demander de l'aide pour appeller et après 15 minutes un gas est venu nous ouvrir nous montrant notre chambre et sans plus de façon. Par la suite une dame agée est apparu prétendant qu'il y avait toujour quelqu'un dans l'établissement. Pas moyen de régler la facture car encore une fois personne. Quand est venu le temps de quitter, il a fallut s'informer ou est l'hôtel Bella Vista pour pouvoir régler par carte de crédit (car contrairement à ce que prétend ce guest house ne prend pas la carte de crédit). La chambre: Des amas de poussière par terre, des rideaux laisant passer la lumière et un lampadaire juste au dessus donc toujour clair dans la chambre. Un matelas inconfortable et une toilette qui ne se vide pas. Pour vider la toilette, il fallait remplir la poubelle d'eau 6 fois. Impossible d'en parler aux personnel car on ne les a pas revus. Conclusion: C'est notre pire établissement en Irlande (sur 12 autres) et de loin. Les propriétaires ne sont pas intéressés à nous et ce guest house devrait tout simplement fermé ou être vendu a des gens qui ont a coeur ce métier.
