We arrived quite late, and we have been upgraded to the main hotel, that's higher category, for no additional cost. The hotel is in a small street on the hill, but the town center is only 5 minutes walk. The room was very good, it was great value for that price.

Only minor things. It took a while until they could find the receptionist when we arrived, but as I mentioned it was quite late, so that was understandable. The hotel restaurant/bar closed quite early. If you want to have dinne late in the evening, you must go down to the town center,

I was upgraded to a double room at the nearby Bella Vista Hotel. I had problems with the Wi-fi, but the staff were extremely helpful. There was a cosy bar and lounge with live music on the Saturday night, and a Chinese Restaurant within the hotel. The breakfast was cooked to perfection, and there was plenty of choice. There are wonderful views out over Cobh (pronounced 'Cove') harbour from the restaurant. I had a very enjoyable stay.

Parking infront of the hotel is a bit cramped and on a steep slope, however there is plenty of street parking close by.

we booked Harleys Guest House at first, but a staff call me and said can upgrade our room to Bella Vista Hotel on the day before we arrive. I can only commend about Bella Vista Hotel: staffs are very nice & friendly the room we stayed is a 4 people BIG room with 1 double bed & 2 single bed! the room is big and clear!!! there is a nice seaview from our room~ we can choose different breakfast for each of us!

the car parking area was full at night, we have to park outside at night and park it back the next morning

    Clean sheets and comfortable bed

Bathroom smelt of damp. No one to open the door,a phone call had to be made. Wooden floors so you could hear people above you.

    Free wifi.

We were upgraded to the Bellavista Hotel (apparently they do that a lot so expect it) and it's easily the worst hotel I've ever been to in 10 years of travel. The beds were very uncomfortable and I've never ever said that for any hotel I've ever been to before (even the modest hostels and such). The bar downstairs is crazy loud until late night and even early mornings on some days (we expected noise but not that much and not that long). I would have been so much better with the B&B that this. Wouldn't stay at the Bellavista again even if it was free.
