The bed was great.
Harley's has been bought by the BellaVista up the hill so you have to go there and check in. Not a good walk if you are at all not ready to climb stairs in all weather.
Location, the view was fabulous. The staff were lovely Good size room (#1)
Not being able to take a shower. The water wasn't working properly. Sat night not even luke warm so I could not have a shower, told them and the next day it was scorching and hot water coming out of the cold tap too. So could not have a shower. Told them and they were going to look at it. Would have liked a kettle and tea making facility in the room. But would stay there again
Room large and clean. Staff very friendly. Great view from the hotel bar of Cobh bay. Liked it.
I book for Harley but was upgraded to the Bella Vista which owns it because they were upgrading it, so don't know what Harleys is like.
harbor view/walking distance to center
no morning coffee service in lower common area/unattended
Asked for extra towel at check in, never got one. Toilet took 1/2 hour to fill & noisy. Bathroom impossibly small. No staff anywhere. Deserted backwater of whatever hotel owns it. No housekeeping whatsoever. Very uncomfortable beds.
We arrived quite late, and we have been upgraded to the main hotel, that's higher category, for no additional cost. The hotel is in a small street on the hill, but the town center is only 5 minutes walk. The room was very good, it was great value for that price.
Only minor things. It took a while until they could find the receptionist when we arrived, but as I mentioned it was quite late, so that was understandable. The hotel restaurant/bar closed quite early. If you want to have dinne late in the evening, you must go down to the town center,
I was upgraded to a double room at the nearby Bella Vista Hotel. I had problems with the Wi-fi, but the staff were extremely helpful. There was a cosy bar and lounge with live music on the Saturday night, and a Chinese Restaurant within the hotel. The breakfast was cooked to perfection, and there was plenty of choice. There are wonderful views out over Cobh (pronounced 'Cove') harbour from the restaurant. I had a very enjoyable stay.
Parking infront of the hotel is a bit cramped and on a steep slope, however there is plenty of street parking close by.
we booked Harleys Guest House at first, but a staff call me and said can upgrade our room to Bella Vista Hotel on the day before we arrive. I can only commend about Bella Vista Hotel: staffs are very nice & friendly the room we stayed is a 4 people BIG room with 1 double bed & 2 single bed! the room is big and clear!!! there is a nice seaview from our room~ we can choose different breakfast for each of us!
the car parking area was full at night, we have to park outside at night and park it back the next morning
Nice staff and service
View from my single bedroom
