Score from 483 reviews Good
The room is cozy, nice location (not too far from the city center and calm), friendly people.
The wi-fi connection in the room was not stable.
Good price-quality rate
Ok for a few nights breakfast (although basic) was included. Ideal location for tourist attractions
Very basic. Towels weren't in the best conditions no extractor fan in bathroom room occasionally felt damp
Nice, staff friendly, bus stop outside door, continental breakfast. Hot water turned off at night, bit inconvenient. Walking distance to shops and restaurants
Located short walking distance from St. Stephen's Green. Nice quiet room- just what was required after a day of music Room and bathroom were spotless with nicel clean sheets and towels Lady at reception was very helpful when it came to leaving bags there after check out and returning to collect them much later on. Number 16 bus ran right outside which was really handy getting to Marlay Park.
Not much -One of party complained about comfort of mattress on bunk -Room had a skylight so no window we could open but didnt get unbearably hot
Fantastic location for me, can walk to all the places I need to get to. I like the fact they don't have carpets, but wooden floors. They're so much more hygenic and clean. Very friendly staff, good information material in the hall. I will definetely stay there again soon.
It would be good to have access to the kitchen later than 9 p.m. to be able to make a cup of tea or take sth you own out of the fridge. Sometimes it takes a while to open house or room door, because the key won't work straight away, but I suppose this is due to the wooden doors, that change depending on the weather. But this was never a real problem.
Everything seemed clean and the lady who runs it is very nice.
Door locks are cheap. Breakfast is cereal and toast.
Very helpful host, everything is within walking distance.
-Excellently beautiful hotel. Irish charm near downtown dublin!
The assistant to the owner was a nice, helpful guy.
This place is an overpriced backpackers hostel. Ours was a spartan bunk bed twin room. The breakfast was poor - cheapest sliced bread and jam, three generic cereals, foul no-names instant coffee and no tea. There are many better value places in Dublin but we discovered this after booking.
Friendly people, 15 min walk to temple bar area.
There could be a better selection of cereals for breakfast and a coffee machine.
The bad was to small for me.
Ensuite rooms. Backyard to sit outside.
Staff wasn't very friendly. Poor breakfast. Kitchen has closed at 9 pm.
Quiet area and close to the city attractions and supermarket by foot. Having access to the small backyard was very pleasant. The rooms are in a house so it really feels like home. The breakfast was basic but OK (toasts, cereal, tea and coffee) considering it was included in the room price. A lot of documentation was available about tours and things to visit. We really appreciated having free bikes provided by the hostel.
The room was small but comfy. the host was nice and friendly. We were very happy that we could borrow the bikes as it brought us to anyway around dublin :-) Breakfast was basic woth toasts, jams, cornflakes, coffee and tea (here was was expecting local irish breakfast though :-)) In general it was all good.
Shower could have run more strongly.
- Wifi was available for free - Towels and bed linen had already been provided in the room
- no lunch box for early leaving guests provided - cleanliness: doubtful... - nasty shower curtain - parking was expensive: in the area around the hostel, you have to pay between 7:00 a.m. and midnight - hourly rate 3 EUR. - the bunk beds were REALLY unsteady - every time the person on the lower bed moved, the upper bed moved as well - very plain room in an annex to the main building - actually, it's just beds put into a chamber. nothing was well-thought-out
I could not fault Harrington House in any way - it was ideally situated for me. The staff were fantastic and could not have been more welcoming and helpful to me. My room was spotless and had everything I needed. The kitchen too was spotless and everything was available.
everything was great
No facilities to make a cup of tea inside the room.kitchen time is restricted.Too small room for a family.I wouldn,t recommend for a family stay.Good for very short stay.
Location next to the bus stop learning to the airport and city center Good cleanliness
Poor breakfast Hot water just within few hours of the day
trop loin du spire
Initially-looked like 9 out of 10,but turned out 0 out of 10,first in 34 years of worldwide hostelling...
Credit card-charge if your paying less than 50 euro-no mention on website,n no nearby cashpoint-never had this charge before Paid extra 5euro for friday,a day i had to add,but got no fresh towel or bedding, bed not even made Heating-even in Mombasa roundel had heating-woke up freezing-they turn off heating when most needed-had to put on thermal underwear!!! Hot water-went to shower after a 9hour walk in hot sunshine-hot water is only on a few hours !!! Again, roundel in mombasa 1983 had constant hot water... Wifi-please look at reviews for last few months-wifi rarely works-and they dont change passwords on signs in room-after asking, was told i couldnt get wifi because my phone was old(bought it 9days before, for this trip!!!) Started to use the pc-was then ORDERED off it-manageress couldnt get wifi signal on her equipment, and had to use connected pc to update a customers bill-wonder if my phone stopped her machine?? My phone worked,in her basement, with a nearby free wifi signal-liar,liar... Noise-was in basement room, woken by a load of clog dancers practising-actually,wooden floor in dining room-needs a thick carpet Woman staying with two 3to6 year old children-hope itwasnt a mixed sex room, and they cried and moaned constantly Could easily be excellent-but another example-keys on pc keyboard worn away-cant see letters. It costs a few euro for a new one,or free with a backup pc from people discarding, recycle websites.. Wont be going back, and dont expect an apology or refund from bad mannered staff.
Nice, relatively quiet location.
Breakfast was simple. Wifi system was a bit of hassle to sort out, but once going was great.
