I thought the location, near St Stephens Green, was ideal for our short stay in Dublin as we were near the Temple Bar area - ideal for finding some excellent places to eat as well as an excellent department store to shop in. The intimate atmosphere, of the hotel, suited our needs perfectly as we wanted a relaxing two days in Dublin. The lack of a bar, which would have been ideal place to stop off to have a drink, after we attended a play at the Abbey theater. To be fair we did find that, just up the street, Shannan's proved to have an excellent bar but I still would have prefered a nightcap in our hotel. |

we were very impressed with the staff, very friendly and helpful. The noise level from the adjacent clubs was a bit loud at times. |

Good location, trams and nightlife on the doorstep, cheap with free parking, well appointed rooms. Free internet in lounge. I thought that 4 stars assumed more facilities at a hotel but it wasn't an issue for me and there is no shortage of bars on the doorstep. |

Our booking was changed from the Harrington Hall to the Harcourt Hotel, hours before our arrival. I was very disappointed as the rooms at the Harrington looked really nice but our room in the Harcourt was very basic and not at all like the one I thought I had booked. I would not have booked the one we staying in. Very basic room which should have been cheaper. Very noisy outside with all the nightclubs in the area. The hotel did facilitate us with our request for a room at the rear of the hotel but the noise was still very loud and caused us to stay awake till the small hours of the morning. |

The location was very good and the staff was helpful. Good value for the price we paid. Our room, #4, on the ground floor was okay for two single ladies, but an upper floor (but we did not request a change) would have been better as having two large windows opening onto the rear parking lot was a little disconcerting. Furnishings were a little dated and the lamps were broken or low light. |

I found the staff very friendly and the room was perfect. There was a group of us staying at the hotel, my friends got a bigger suite and it was very comfortable and good value for money. I requested a smoking room and was given a non smoking room |

Great location in a beautiful street with brick houses. Short walking distance to the city center. You have plenty of places to have breakfast in nearby places (particularly in a parallel street) |

The room was very large. I did not like the fact that I was in a ground-floor room with a very large window that did not lock! |

The staff was extremely helpful in every way. The facilities had a great deal of charm and the location could not have been better for our purposes. The fact that one of the rooms was in the basement was somewhat disappointing. |

clean environment, large bathrooms, comfortable bed very noisy at night from local nigth club. Could not sleep with windows open as too noisy from loud (presumably drunken) shouting and car horns blasting from night time revellers. Could still be heard the following night despite windows being closed. Would not stay here if weather hot due to this. |

Hotel is close to the city centre, and nightlife. Relatively quiet except for front rooms where u can hear the trams rumbling by. Rooms very spacious and clean. Noise from trams audible but not excessively loud despite double glazing of windows. |

Nice hotel, helpful, friendly staff, good location for walking to tourist areas. Hotel is located near a nightclub. There were people on the street yelling and car horns honking until 3:30 or 4 am every night we were there. It was bearable for me after I put in earplugs. |

the proximity to the shopping areas and the sightseeing activities. absolutely. i don't think we will ever stay there again because of the noise in the streets from the rowdy drinking public to the taxi cabs honking their horns at 4:30 in the a.m. this is the second time and the last time we will stay there. we were looking so forward to our visit before we ended our trip and flew out of dublin. i am not sure what you are able to do about it but several of the guests also had the same complaint. i feel sorry for the people who live on harcourt and have to put up with this. i think the cab drivers must have continuously honked their horns for at least 20-30 minutes. |

The promixity to the city center The noise from the local bars at night kept us awake. The rooms in the front need to have air conditioning as the windows being opened was a necessity. |
