Whilst the hotel rooms are showing signs of tiredness, the warmth and friendliness of the staff more than make up for the fact the room refurbs are overdue. All staff were so friendly - couldn't do enough for us Everywhere was a little too warm to be comfortable

The Bar and Foyer area really spacious and relaxing. Staff were really friendly. Had booked room with double and sinngle bed but allocated room only had a double bed. Rooms a bit dated looking. Bar staff also loook after reception which can cause delays.

Breakfast was excellent. Everything is "worn". I stayed in the hotel forty years ago and it looks as though it has hardly been touched since. The room I stayed in had no hot water and no heating! I left the hot water tap running for half an hour and it was only marginally warmer than the cold tap. The bedside lights were connected to the mains lead via naked connector blocks which is illegal and very dangerous ( I have photos). The "Car Park" is an unsecured joke, showered in car-window glass, which looks like a Palestinian no-go area - Honestly, have a look yourself! The key to a viable hotel is maintenance. When things wear out - replace them; when things break - fix them. The only reason stayed there is that it is near Portiuncla hospital where I have a sick relative. I will not stay there again.

Nothing the rooms were not ready when we arrived they were also filthy stained carpets, filthy windows i would go as far as to say worse than a hostel. It was simply the worst excuse for a hotel in ireland and being a frequent traveller and having stayed in many hotels always booked through this site this was hands down the worst ever

Price of room. Good tv. Large room. No iron or hairdryer in room. Staff were very slow to answer reception phone (I rang 8 times). Poor service at the bar (waited 15minutes for a drink before leaving). Shower and bathroom in need of refurbishment.

Booking on line, got us a really good price. The location was excellent for what were wanted. The bed linen was very clean. The majority of the staff were most helpful even allowing us to have breakfast in the bar to enable us to watch the world cup rugby. It is a budget hotel with basic facilities. The smell of cooking & in particular boiled vegetables, permeated throughout the whole downstairs floor. When asked what the "fish of the day" was, our waitress didn't understand English and did not offer to get someone who did, she just said there wasn't any, which in fact was incorrect.
