Situated in the village of Letterfrack, the Letterfrack Lodge Hostel is just 300 metres from the Connemara National Park Visitor Centre, but not in the grounds of the park.

With beautiful views of surrounding Connemara and the sea, the 4-star Sharamore House is just a 5 minute drive from Clifden. It offers fresh fish breakfasts and bright rooms with free Wi-Fi.

We booked in with Hazelbrook in order to explore the local area, including nearby national park. While there isn't much in the town itself, it does have a lovely little pub/restaurant nearby, and Hazelbrook itself was a lovely stay. Janine was a wonderful host and the breakfast was spot on, with a choice of continental or full-Irish.The beds were incredibly comfortable, the house was warm, there is ample parking, wi-fi was consistent and there is a lovely view over the harbour.
The only issue was that the hot water in the shower was not consistent--it would run hot for about 15 seconds then run cold for 15 seconds continually.
Located in a fisherman's bay, with perfect window view. Old lady was very hospitable and helpful. Included breakfast is very tasty and nourishing.
The sea/bay view was amazing from our room and the dining room! The breakfast and the kindness of Josephine as well!
No Wifi contact (maybe due to the mountains), but actually we went to relax, so this wasn`t a big problem.
Really enjoyed our recent stay. Comfortable, kind and memorable Nothing was a problem! Thanks Margaret!
Everything as it should be with a charming and endlessly helpful owner, a fine view from the window of a large room, and a comfotable chair to sit in while you enjoy it. This is a particilarly tranquil and beautiful area to visit and there is good and reasonanbly priced seafood to be had a few minutes walk away.
Hosts were welcoming and concerned for our welfare and satisfaction. The accomodations are spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Beautiful view from upstairs balcony. Definately want to return!
Breakfast Friendly Staff Welcoming Comfy Bed
Shower a bit cold
Wonderful hosts Wonderful breakfasts Great local knowledge and recommendations on where to go
nice traditional irish breakfast, very lovely and friendly housekeeping, very clean rooms
Friendly, welcoming, comfortable B&B. Beautiful views, only a short stroll from village, pub and lovely fish restaurant. Delicious breakfast.Good value for money.
Nothing to dislike
Family room had four proper beds, lovely views, great breakfast. Location was good for us, small village with limited eating options, great to be able to walk to pub. Made to feel very welcome.
It said on the website they took credit cards, but this turned out to be incorrect. Furniture fairly basic but overall value for money
Location, close to Clifden, Kylemore Abbey.
Not a three-star b&b. Worn and tired rooms. Little to no enthusiasm for hosting. Skimpy breakfast, unless you are Irish. Definitely less than enthusiastic about American guests, but we are thankful we weren't French guests, who were treated with even less enthusiasm. Not your typical warm, friendly, welcoming B&B, although priced that way. We stayed in six B&Bs over 3 weeks in Ireland, and this is the only one that disappointed.
Josephine is a wonderful lady and made us feel right at home. And provided an iron and hairdryer when we realised we had left ours behind. The bed was super comfortable and the water hot for showers. Cleggan is a total dream, beautiful spot. Didn't want to leave.
Initially you think the decor is dated, but who cares! when the hospitality is second to none.
Location, cleanliness and great breakfast.
Wifi issues but these are all over Connemara!
Amazing landscape, very confortable beds, peaceful place and excellent breakfast !
The room was very large and cozy. Perfect quiet location; Claggan itself has nothing special and we went to Clifden for dinner (15 min drive). Josephin was very nice and her French toast were absolutely delicious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I loved being out and about in the real Ireland without all the "tourists" and having a chance to be with the true Irish. Everyone was so kind and helpful and breakfast was first rate.
The calm, the beautiful "panoramic" view from our room (n°1) with the impression to be at the end of the world, the kindness of Josephine and PJ, the full irish breakfast, the weather (it was sunny and not raining !). We'll come back asap !
Very Welcoming people
Shower in the bathroom didn't work as the shower head was blocked because of limescale
the location was beautiful breakie was fabulous
there was nothing to dislike
It was our access point to Inisbrofin island to try to see the corncrakes and explore the island. The weather was perfect - sunshine and a breeze. The room was spacious with a view of the coast.
Hostst were great, nice welcome. Room was clean, great location !!
Can't think of anything.
Second stay in Hazelbrook. We very much appreciated the warm welcome. A nice view on the village and the sea. A good brekfast. French saying: no 2 without a 3.
Bathroom a bit small compared with more recent b&bs. But price is also cheaper.
This place is really peaceful with a beautiful view. take the time to go in Cleggan, it's a nice area to see.
very homley' Josephine and PJ are great hosts fantastic breakfast
