Great venue, lovely rooms and lounges. Nice large shower with strong pressure. Great free tea, coffee and biscuits. Housekeeper very efficient, friendly and accomodating.

Poor service from breakfast venue staff. Very abrupt and non responsive to customer request. No explanation of breakfast options or menu supplied.

The location and grounds that are outside the main village and set back from the road. Very comfortable room. Residents' lounge with free tea, coffee and biscuits. The housekeeper from Hungary was extremely helpful. Good food at the Heather in the village.

We were made to feel very welcome from the start. The rooms were beautiful and very clean. I had obviously not read the small print as I did not realise that breakfast was served in a restaurant a mile away, but it wasn't far and the breakfast was well worth it.

Erica welcomed us, this was our first day in Ireland. The common areas are so comfortable, we had tea and cake served to us on arrival. Erica could not be more accommodating....thanks!

Erika welcomed us kindly and showed us all around. She is gracious and hardworking. The rooms were nicely appointed and flexible. Breakfast was immense down the road at the associated restaurant.

“Trooperstown Woodlodge” located in the small town of Laragh in the gorgeous Wicklow Mountains is the perfect combination of a modern, clean, classy hotel and a warm, cozy, welcoming B&B. The Hungarian hostess who greeted us, Erica, was so sweet and helpful. Our room was nice, with a private view of the woods behind. Food at the B&B owners' restaurant, “The Wicklow Heathers” was very tasty (breakfast included, dinner slightly expensive). We sipped tea in the common “reading room”, which was lovely and relaxing. We felt that our stay was very reasonably priced for the overall experience.

Heard about the B&B owners, but never met them.

We arrived much later than we planned after deciding to hike over a couple of Wicklow mountains instead of around them. By the time we arrived, we were afraid we'd be denied at the door. We were hungry, wet, filthy, and I'm quite certain, stinky! But Erica was so considerate. Not only did she ignore our appearance, she knew we were exhausted, and without hesitation, moved us into a larger room, in a quieter area of the house. Truth be told, we could have slept through an earthquake, but her gesture was very much appreciated. So was Sebastian and the quick meal he arranged for us at The Wicklow Heather. Despite being well after closing time, he hopped in the car, picked us up at the house, and sped us back to the restaurant. He actually apologized because they were technically closed and he could "only" offer us bread and soup. I can assure you, it was the best bread and soup ever! I should mention that the actual accommodations are every bit as comfortable as Erica and Sebastian are kind. Breakfast at the Heather was delicious and filling too!

Extra facilities such as two lounges plus good coffees, teas and biscuits. Housekeeper Erica was very helpful.

Breakfasts at owner's restaurant 1 mile away were a minor inconvenience. Creeky bed.

I loved all the special little details like the sink and the toilets. Someone did an excellent job decorating. We felt very welcome and taken care of. Anita was a great host and I would highly recommend this property to anyone.

Erica, in charge of the Lodge was brilliant. But it seemed odd that we never met the owners and we had to travel two miles down the road for breakfast! But, it all worked out, it was good value for money and the Wicklow Mountain area is fabulous.

Booked as a gift for an English relative was honeymooning in Ireland. They were thrilled with the house, gardens, surrounding magnificent views and fabulous food. More than this they were astonished at the service and kindness of Erica

Not one thing could i find fault with

The guesthouse was beautifully looked after by Erica she is a member of staff that should be treasured!

The house was stunning and our room was lovely, but the bathroom let it down a little, the taps in the sink moved about and the seal around the shower area needed re- sealing it looks tired and stained. No matter how the house keeper scrubbed she couldn't change the situation. However it was very clean and the power shower was excellent!

    1. Erica was incredibly hospitable 2. Location was somewhat secluded, which kept things fairly quiet 3. Magnificent landscape all around

    1. WiFi was extremely slow; I believe that there was only one hub for 11 rooms
