Friendly welcome. Very good advisor for places to visit and for places to eat. Fantastic breakfast.
A bit away from the center.
Large rooms. Nice view. Friendly, silent and clean.
Wi-Fi is not that good. The accommodation is nice and we have no complaint at all, but we think it is a bit overrated (or other accommodations are underrated in comparison).
The welcome was genuine, even though I caught Jane in the middle of making the scones for breakfast the next day! The same hospitality continued throughout my stay. The location, just on the edge of Clifden, outside the built-up area, was ideal, with a beautiful view. I could not fault this B&B in any way.
Nothing at all!
Very comfy place, large rooms, great views from the rooms (if only the clouds allow you to see it!), very good and friendly service
- Friendly staff - Breakfast - Sweet bed - Location, Clifden is beautiful
- Maybe the bathroom
waking up to the sight of a picturesque lough was fantastic - if you like salmon take the smoked salmon breakfast, the local product is excellent!
Jane received us like guests of honor, and her care and thoughtfulness through in every little detail, from an informative guest book to a beautiful and delicious breakfast spread. We were greeted in the late afternoon with coffee and cake, which was the perfect wind-down after a long (and breathtaking) coastal drive. The storybook lakeside view from the sitting room is unparalleled, and we were lucky to fall asleep and wake up to the same view from our bedroom. Truly a spectacular stay in Clifden and a glowing testament to Irish hospitality.
A very picturesque location, excellent cooked breakfast and clean and comfortable rooms. Proprietor very helpful and friendly.
Bathroom a bit cold.
Quiet location, even with the main road in the front (we had a front room). Easy parking, good shower and bed, and filling breakfast. Couldn't ask for more.
Great view from the sitting room. Jane allowed me to do the washing which was helpful. Had a lovely breakfast, all in all avery comfortable and friendly place. Would recommend to anyone.
* Lake view * Distance to Clifden and Connemara Landscapes * Hot water and comfortable beds * Delicious breakfast * Friendly and helpful owners
friendly staff, good size rooms, lovely views from the rooms (overlooking lake and mountains, but not all rooms have that view as I understand) a little away from town, but it didn't bother us, as we just needed sleepover.
Jane - the landlady was so kind to us, gave us a lovely pot of tea and cake and scones on arrival and also later in the evening, we look forward to staying in heather lodge again next year.
I was greeted personally by the owner at the door on arrival. She was very welcoming and pleasant. She showed me all the facilities and asked me my needs such as breakfast choice etc. The breakfast was excellent as was the service. I was doing a cycle in the area the next day and the owner even offered that I could use the shower long after the checkout time. I would highly recommend Heather Lodge B&B, I will definitely be staying there when I return to Clifden!
Wonderful hostess and a terrific property!
This is a fantastic location and the food is excellent with loads of choice. A welcoming hostess.
Jane was very welcoming.Tea and lovely scones on arrival. We had a funeral in Letterfrack so the location was good.Would love to stay again!
The rain and wind!
Jane was very kind and helpful, the house was clean, tidy and nicely decorated, the breakfast and the welcome carrot cake was excellent. We would be happy to go back, it was a good choice.
Absolutely wonderful, first time ever I put "excellent" in all the fields. Will definitely come back to Heather Lodge: very nice owner, beautiful room, incredible breakfast (esp. the homemade soda bread), very nice atmosphere, etc. A great place to stay for travelers willing to visit Clifden and the Connemara.
The b&b is really pretty and is really close to Clifden by car, had a comfortable stay. Jane was really helpful and nice. We had the use of the sitting room and pool table which was great having a four year old staying with us.
