We girls were in Dublin to shop. Hotel was great but isn't in city centre. It's v near the aviva stadium for matches/concerts. The bar food at night wAs v good and we spotted Louis Walsh and his new boy band! We were the only two at breakfast as all other guests had eaten v early and were on business.
Convenient to city.Surrounding areas of Ballsbridge and Sandymount are home to me and as attractive as ever in early Spring.!
The room was immaculate and well appointed. The staff was most helpful with all our questions. We were able to get around Dublin with no problem.
All was well.
- Big, clean, comfortable bed - Spacious room a standard - Friendly and efficient staff
- We didn't pre-book breakfast as we were unsure whether we would stay for it. We ended up getting breakfast in the hotel. It was tasty but very expensive, working out at just under €40 for two of us. We could have gotten then same thing in a cafe for half the price. Disappointed at this.
Beautiful park adjacent. Nice lobby and helpful staff.
Breakfast is a bit pricey! Limited underground parking spaces.
Hotel is style is modern, comfortable, clean. Staff are friendly. We didn't eat there, found it a bit expensive.
It was a noisy night there, people in the corridor in the early hours, I didn't complain, just plugged in my headphones. When driving to the Herbert Hotel, enter from Angelsey Road, crossing the canal, we drove around for a while looking for the entrance to hotel and car park, which costs €10 extra per night.
Hotel has great location and rooms are basic but most importantly very clean.
One female member of the bar team didn't seem too happy as she plonked or drink down on front of us and seemed to be unable to smile which is a basic foundation in the hospitality business.
Everything was great, loved the way they served the coffee.
I had paid for an upgrade to a garden view, yet it was an inter-connecting family room 411 so I heard everything from the couple next door! Then again it was a staurday night and they probabaly were full.
location and staff
no ability to make tea in room and bed linen and pillow could have been better quality
The bed Shower Food
No tea/coffee making facilities in room No easy access to plugs for charging phones etc
The location was good
We stayed here on the recommendation of family. Unfortunately they gave us a room where the headboard and doors were freshly painted. The smell was overpowering and we were unable to sleep. We explained this to 3 staff members. They were rude, unhelpful and suggested that the paint was not toxic. I would not stay here again
Room was spotless.
No breakfast incl in expensive room rate. No tea making facilities in room. Had to pay for overnight parking. Glass of presseco ordered at bar was flat.
Nice area for eating - relaxed Food service and reception very good - pleasant and efficient
Room decor, and bathroom fittings a bit tired and dated.
The hotel was in a great location and the staff were helpful.
Beds were not comfortable at all. Rooms definitely not sound proof....walls paper thin...Activities of guests in adjoining room literally sounded like they were in our room....not an enjoyable stay. Would have been cheaper to stay in the 4 Seasons down the road...will be booking there in future.
The food and the friendly staff. Location is excellent. The accommodation staff do an excellent job.
It would have been nice to meet some Irish staff during my stay.
It is in a great location.
The reception staff are very unfriendly. When I checked in I didnt even get a hello all I was met with was 'Name?'. I had booked a double and was checking in with my female friend who had dropped me off as my boyfriend was checking in later. When I got to the room they had put me into a twin room with two single beds. I am hoping it was just a coincidence because it would be very offensive if the reason I was put into a room like that is because I was checking in with a female. I have to say the porter that helped me change rooms was extremely helpful and friendly.
The room was lovely.
Hidden cost about the car park. And found some of the staff stuck up and rude.
Bathroom was spotless.
No music in the bar on New Years Eve. Even in the background...

Room size and quality
Beautiful grounds to walk around. Nice food in the lounge, didn't eat in restaurant. Friendly staff. Clean hotel. Lovely reception/lounge area.
Our king size bed was two beds pushed together. Over-priced breakfast, under-cooked sausages & very runny scrambled eggs.
No heating in the bathroom
The location of the hotel suited the purpose of our trip perfectly. Lovely, contemporary surroundings & close to really good bars & restaurants.
Hotel was spacipus
TV didn't work
