Italian restaurant in the hotel was excellent. The reception staff were very helpful in securing a reservation for us in the restaurant - it was initially fully booked but they came and looked for us when a cancellation came up. The breakfast choice was good and the breakfast room was very pleasant. The bedroom had an iron and ironing board as well as tea and coffee making facilities. |

I had to sleep as it was a business trip and Portlaoise was of no interest to me. Charged Euro 9 for breakfast which was orange juice, two slices of bread and tea. A ripoff. |

We found the staff very helpful and courteous. The diversity in hotel restaurants gave a lot of choices for meals and the room was airy and comfortable Unfortunately there was quite a lot of prolonged noise during the early morning hours made by tipsy guests trying to gain entrance to their or somebody elses rooms close by. By early morning I mean from 2am to 6am.Some other guests also remarked on it at breakfast. Perhaps the porter could have dealt with it, if he was aware of it of course. |

The hotel was clean, comfortable and relaxing. The facilities in the room were excellent, like bottled water and toiletries. There were not enough people on Reception and I had to wait a long time to be seen. |

I liked the friendly staff and the atmosphere was generally very good whether that was attributed to the Rose of Tralee event or not I do not know |

I liked the rate charged, the friendly staff and the excellent facillities. The room was clean and welcoming. I would certaintly stay here again and would reccomend the hotel to anyone else travelling to the area. The quality of the bed clothes. I felt the blanket was a little old fashioned for such a high quality establishment. But this is only a very minor issue. |

Found the conference venue very good and the staff very friendly and helpful. The lack of a full- length mirror in the dressing room and/or bedroom. As I woman found the missing morror unusually for a holet of this quality. |
