Hillgrove Hotel, Leisure & Spa  

The staff were very nice, friendly and helpful. The food was very good and the service was excellent. It was excellent value for money.

The decor was a bit tired in the rooms and in the foyer. The hotel needs a facelift, but having said that it was perfect for our needs when we stayed there.

Location across the road from .housing estate.Very noisy at night too.

We only stayed one night, but what we got and seen was excellant.

When we arrived to check in the reception did'nt have our booking eventhough we booked through booking.com on January 28th last. But luckily they did have a room for us.

Did not have enough time to absorb all of the facillities available, room, food, bar, all exellant.

We have stayed a few times, breakfast has improved and the pool is always a pleasure.

Not to keen on the room we stayed in, we were assigned a room initially that already had guest belongings in it. Then we received a room on the ground floor, bathroom could do with decorating and the carpet floor was not hoovered very well. The heat in the hotel comes on every time we stay in the hotel and we cannot figure out how to turn off the heat. Did not sleep well as the temperature was to hot. This would put me off staying again as the few times we have stayed we have had the same problem. The pool facilities are great and that's why we have revisited the hotel.

Staff on the whole were very helpful and friendly

Stayed on a sat night and after dinner there was karoke in the main bar,during the evening my group was subjected to sectarian remarks by other quests.when I complained to the duty manager she called a doorman who said that there was nothing he could do.As I was concerned for my safety I thanked them and when to my room.

We were only there one night but felt the friendliness/helpfulness of staff made for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Loved this hotel, staff so friendly and helpful,it was spotlessly clean and the spa is definitely worth a visit if you need some chilled down time!

A certain member of the reception staff was unhelpful and impolite as was the exchange rate on the sterling to euro food was very overpriced

This was the best hotel that I visted in Ireland, staff were helpful and very friendly and overall it was excellent value for money. Wish I had an excuse to visit every week.

Why are ALL the mattresses in Ireland hard ?Hillgrove isnt bad . But Every place we stayed had hard beds !

The Spa, pool and childrens play area were excellent. The rooms were clean, well equiped and comfortable.

The WIFI was extremely slow and unreliable and the restaurant food in the evening was expensive and poor. Some guests let the place down unfortunately for example during an evening meal a guest at the table next to us changed thier baby's nappy!

That my 15 year old could not go into the steam room etc in armagh they can go in at 14 year that was the purpose of my trip as a easter break before she went back to shool.It was not nice doing it all by myself when i booked the trip for her.

Great, budget, family focused hotel

Nothing really. Our rooms were in the older part of the hotel and they were fine. Photos of rooms on website are however the newer rooms so this was a little misleading.

Great stay. The hotel were able to accommodate our child's food allergies. Kids club with Sinead was fab for the kids!

We liked the food, comfort of the bedroom, staff were friendly.

At a wedding, 2 types of soup served to our table, bread rolls served by hand! Not adequate seating for 400 guests prior to wedding breakfast meal being served. Standing in region of 3 hours, just not on. Lots of elderly people very uncomfortable. At 2 am I enquired about room service, on 3 occasions, I was referred to the the tea coffee facilities in the room. At breakfast I asked for coffee and was told to sit down it would be brought over. Thats 13 days ago and coffee not delivered!! For 150e a night I would have expected much more by way of service and attitude. Long way to go to be a hotel providing service to match its price.
