Everything we needed at hand the hotel was very busy when we arrived but a lovely buzz , will be back and will take the kids next time
We were really so pleased with the facilities and the friendliness of all the staff for our group of 6 adults and 3 children Particularly the fabulous treatment our little girls received from the time we arrieved until our departure Take a bow staff many thanks
The only thing is that the rooms where the parents and children slept was a little to small but we did not ask for a larger rooms when booking. our room was a fabulous large room overlooking golf course
The hotel comfort quietness and leisure centre , The restaurant service
The room was very nice and spacious. The breakfast staff were very attentive and helpful.
The service in the hotel bar was very slow. The bathroom did not have a fan so the floor was quite slippery after having a shower.
i loved everything about this hotel, the rooms are excellent, the lobby bar, pool fabulous, and the staff couldnt do enough for us, we where a party of about 20 adults and kids and toddlers, and we where all accommodated, really well, and we had overseas, guests as well, we are all coming back and recommending to friends, thank you
nothing to dislike
Staff are very polite
There are way too many managers to deal with when u have a complaint ,,, waited over 1 hour for a toasted sandwich also bar ran out of stock too early in the day had no drinks for New Year's Eve that I liked very bad for bar manager should have been well stocked for the kind of rated hotel it is also knowing how many ppl were booked in very bad will never be back again
Good stay but have stayed in better
Was here for a friends wedding and could not find one thing to say bad about The Hodson Bay
I didn't stay here long enough but will be resolving that next year
Room eas to hot
key card problems
food & staff
had a problem with door key card
Pillows on bed poor quality
Every thing...we're planning on coming up to you on the midterm break (feb 2015) with our children
What's not to like. .....
The food was good
The bathroom was un heated and it was a very cold day . Also the bed room was very cold we had to turn on heating on arrival it's a card in a slot system and when we both went out we needed our keys result no heat
the staff were great, nothing was too much bother for them, the location was excellent, we had very relaxing two days.
Delighted with our room and great to get back to this hotel
Could only stay for one night this time
Comfortable in a good location
Arrived at 23:00 hours. The heating in the room was off and seemed to be linked into a bigger system. Room was cold as a result. In the morning, the heat came on and was too hot. I guess I am awkward to please.
Room was lovely and warm when I arrived late in the evening so very welcoming for a tired person. Tea making facilities. Very spacious room with spacious bathroom with both bath and shower. Male staff member on desk was very polite and welcoming. When I couldn't change channels on TV, I rang reception and this was immediately attended to. Had breakfast in my room and was delivered on time. Overall a great experience. Would definitely stay again.
Minor detail but my room overlooked a flat roof which was a bit unsightly when I opened curtains in morning. However, I was only staying one night and was checking out early so did not take away from my stay.
Bed was soooo comfie.
I went up to pay my dinner bill at the bar it wasent busy and they have a till but for some strange reason I was told to go around the corner to a different till in a closed carvery area to pay this seems v unnecessary it's annoying tobe shifted around when all y want to do is just pay. The check in process was v slow I booked on booking.com about 20/30 mins before and they didn't have my booking available but the guy at reception didn't tell me that he didn't have it he just printed my info for signing with a higher rate instead of explaining his issue to me.
We liked the view from our room - which was of a high standard with a top class bathroom - and the location is gorgeous. The meal we had was pretty good too.
Lots of things..... the smell of roast beef and lamb the minute you walk in the front door. The long corridor which wraps around everything. People eating in the corridor. The long, long, long walk to the lift for the bedrooms and the long, long, long walk back to reception when the key fails to work. The appallingly slow service in the bar - albeit it was busy but a 12/15 minute wait is unacceptable. Food being served right next to the bar....hence the strong cooking smells the minute you walk Inside.
the most comfortable bed of any hotel i have ever stayed in the location is stunning the staff lovely and the price very reasonable
Friendly staff, lovely room & excellent leisure centre all at a beautiful setting.
The loud wedding guests in the room next door.
