had to park away from hotel in car park and no lift
Hospitality of hotel management was second to none very helpful wit everything
Would like breakfast but can recommend lopens excellent breakfast there
The place was clean. Rooms were quite small but this is to be expected for the price. We paid €80 for a triple room, so reasonable enough. The bar had a v good atmosphere and was packed , albeit due to irl v Australia and man utd v arsenal. Staff were friendly.
Credit card machine wasn't working and read that my card had been declined (which could cause some embarrassment & inconvenience to guests ) after contacted my banks cc company they advised that no transaction had even been looked for. Wifi didnt work in the room even though we were told it would. We were on the 1st floor just above reception so that tells u how the poor signal is and range it can service.
Location was ok, just a short drive into central Galway. Price was excellent considering it was a private room. Big quiet room.
Room was freezing, and couldn't get the radiator to work. In fairness, we didn't ask the staff for help, so there was no one to blame but ourselves! Couldn't get the wifi to work, we DID try to fix that but I think we may have been too far from the front of house.
Brillant stay will stay there anytime im in galway
Beds are really comfortable. Rooms are spacious & very clean.
Rooms could be warmer. Slow response in reception on arrival
We love it here, had only intended to stay for one day, but we really like here too !!!! So more stayed one night! Super nice and warm and friendly service I will definitely come again
Hotel situated in a great spot, taxi rank right outside or bus stop 2min up road to go town which is 15min away beach across the road plenty of places around the area to eat out.All staff very friendly, and helpful they would go that extra mile for you. rooms spotless, and comfortable, pauline and bridie who looked after the rooms always had time for you they would never pass you by,if you wanted to go on any tours pauline would sort it out great ladies.Martin and his Bar staff alike were very nice. made you feel at home.myself and my mother went down for 4 nights we ended up staying another night would have stayed longer but work was calling. Will go back again
I did not like having to go home
As were to the front never sleep for the two nights with noise of trafic from bin lorrys bread lorrys etc.
I liked everything about this hotel I will stay hear again the next time im in galway
We loved the location of the hotel the view of the sea from our room not too far from Galway city taxis just outside the hotel everything we need was there. The staff were very friendly
Execlent location and really freindly staff. Great bar and relaxed atmosphere.
The room was a good size, beds were very comfortable, everything was clean. The value for money is excellent!
The location and the good size comfortable bedroom. Price was good.
The hotel owner very friendly and welcoming. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Location excellent beside a wide variety of restaurants and bars. Beside beach and promenade and not far from the city.
no lift so would not suit the elderly or a person with a disability. The stairs is steep and could pose a problem for anyone with mobility issues. Hotel website does not mention this. It would be nice to have the option of a continental breakfast
The staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was an excellent size with a comfortable bed and all mod cons. The location was excellent (right in the heart of Salthill, 30 seconds from the seafront, and next to a huge range of restaurants). Really good value for money.
Can't think of anything. Had a really lovely stay.
very friendly staff nice atmosphere
the atmosphere was friendly and homely and look forward to a return visit
the bar staff were all lovely brought ur drinks down to ur table over all just great thanks everyone .....
we had no swimming pool for my child bt he got over it....
Peter is a very welcoming host. Lovely clean comfy room. Right on the promenade. Lohans for Breakfast recommended by Peter. Great spot at the window for breakfast. Daughters loved it too! What more could we ask for. :-)
Local restaurants, walk along promenade to town, manager/owner
Poor layout of good size room and weak shower, no lift and narrow staircases. Price may fit for Galway market, but high in a broader comparison
Noisy one night
The owner Peter was brilliant. From the moment we arrived to the moment we departed he was always available for help and advice on activities to do and places to eat.
peter was a star loved him! The location is superb and people were beyond friendly
having to leave
