The restaurant and location make this hotel a great place to stay. The staff are knowledgable and helpful. The rooms are a good size and there was plentiful hot water for a bath.
There are no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The lift is small. The soundproofing could be better. The bathroom was teeny.
The facility at the Presburitian church was positioned too high. I would not have a car if I stayed at Issacs again.
Room was a bit small with little room around the bed
Great staff, lovely food, close to shops.
Lack of internet connection, no car park
Excellent location friendly staff and breakfast
The bathroom no hand soap shower mate beside toilet bowl and the room could of been cleaned a bit better
Brilliant location (5 min walk to the bus station). Restaurant besides a nice waterfall. Quick check in and out procedure. Lovely staff
rooms are a little bit old.. Somehow all the showers in Ireland seem to have absolutely no pressure..
Location; walkable from city centre, bus and train stations. Price. Restaurants & bars close by. Staff were friendly & helpful. Breakfast was OK. It has it's own waterfall by the restaurant!
My room was at the front, so there was some traffic noise, although this didn't disturb me. Toilet wasn't clean on arrival, although the rest of the shower room and bedroom were spotless. Smell in the corridor on the 1st floor was unpleasant; hotel seemed to be airing the corridor, window was open.
the staff were outstanding Great location.. I like to walk in Cork city...
not one thing...I will always use Isaacs..
Jim. He was a waiter we had for our breakfast each morning. He went out of his way to help make sure we enjoyed Ireland. We were in a great location for food and shopping. The staff was very helpful.
We were in a room backed up to an alley where a pub/restaurant took out there trash until after midnight.
Close to the train and bus stations. Travel was ready for us, just a short walk to transportation. Tourist office only two blocks away. Hotel was clean and staff were helpful and friendly. We would stay again in a heartbeat.
Location Staff Greens Restaurant Public Areas
Room was cold
Breakfast. Breakfast looking at Rock face Friendly obliging staff Comfortable bed Spacious room
too expensive Night noise
it was an interesting place - unique bars and tea rooms
noisy in the street, parking was around the corner at the church and the street that the Hotel was on was extremely busy.
Booked a two bedrm apartment and they gave us the three bedrm. Large living area.
No parking. No lifts. Side entry isn't paved, so if you have a suitcase on wheels go through the lobby. Bugs in bathroom. Old and worn out apartment. Stuffy.
The location was excellent; most things were within walking distance. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Blanca, the receptionist, who was quickly able to fix an electrical issue in our apartment.
Excellent Breakfast Good location
Loved the located not far from the busier areas, but the room was a little stuffy. We opened our windows during the night, but that let in all the street noise which was very disturbing. Their "breakfast in bed" value was amazing! We ordered breakfast for two and it only cost 3 euro for both of us to have bacon, ham, toast, butter, juice, coffee and tomato. The courtyard and waterfall was a lovely feature and we enjoyed entertaining new friends there.
The location was good for the tour bus to the Jameson Distillery and there was an EXCELLENT fish and chips carry out right down the street. They 'delivered' our food to the pub across the street where we had a lovely chat with the bartender while watching soccer. Slept well. I would stay there again.
A little hard to find the parking and to unload/load, especially on our first driving day in Ireland. There was a water problem, but it was with the city. The hotel provided ample bottled water (that was a good!)
The windows facing the Main Street, were single glass, given it was a very busy street, it was very noisy, very!!
Atmostphere was fab and food was lovely. Will definetly be back !!
The location, the staff, surrounding pubs and restaurants, live music, Hotel Isaacs was fantastic in every category.
Outside dining area very nice . Beds amazingly comfortable . Lovely quite room .
There were puddles on the entrance . Had to walk through water to get in . Perhaps this was exceptional as it was teeming with rain
