The hotel was quite old, could do with a refresh. Breakfast buffet was terrible, the hostess did not even take our room number and seat us, but put 2 strangers at our table without even asking had we other people joining us - which we did. It was our first time to stay due to location of where are other family members were staying, but I very much doubt we would return.

My name is sarah and I am 10. my mum and I and my friend ruby stayed in minella. We loved it. On saturday night me and ruby got up at 5:30am and we looked out at the sunset it was beautiful and we weren't tired so we decided to stay up. The time flew by and sooner or later it was quater to seven we woke up my mom and we went down for a early swim we stayed there for a while and then we went to breakfast. My favourite part about minella was the swimming pool. I loved eating apple tart in bed and watching tv. I saved up 200 euro for minella usaly we don't go out of the country my nan and grandad live in clonmel so we go there once a year we always stay with them but we always wanted to stay in minella . the beds are so comfortable even more comfortable than my bed. Thank you for our fantastic stay in minella from sarah / annmarie'ruby

The superior king room was no different to any other room in any other hotel and was overpriced for what you get. I have stayed in bigger and better equipped rooms for less money.

Excellent hotel with very good facilities. Its quite an old school family run hotel as opposed to an impersonal city hotel. The hotel itself and its grounds are kept imacculately I highly recommend taking a walk along the bank of the river suir which runs behind the hotel. The leisure club is also excellent with pool, gym and lots of classes for the motivated!. Food is also very good, nothing adventurous but whet they do, they do well. The rooms are clean and well kept. Standard rooms are pretty much what you expect of any 4*. We stay in this hotel on average twice per year and have often upgraded. The Suites are lovely. Particularly room 200. TV in the jacuzzi bath, 2 bathrooms, separate siting room! Fab. The suites and junior suites have jacuzzi baths and balconies. Whe booking request a room at the back of the hotel - the view of the gardens are lovely.Overall a lovely hotel. Teh view from the front of the hotel isn't as nice from some rooms so ask for a rear facing room. Apart from that, everything else is lovely.

The hotel staff were very courtious and helpful. Bedrooms were nice size and modern. When I arrived to my room it had toothpaste splashes on the mirror and wall, hair in the bath and bed. The shower was very poor, luke warm water (couldn't stand under the water it was so cool) with not much power. The owner or manager was on hand and trying hard to keep everything going Old building, dining room very cramped with a smell of damp - it is in the basement. Breakfast was good but they had to reheat the food as it was ordered - this is done at the end of the buffet under a grill. Expensive for a "4 star", Carpets worn in most areas, some chairs were stained.

Excellent friendly staff. Room service was well worth the extra €5 per person! Breakfast was excellent. Very clean and comfortable. We were attending a wedding and it all ran smoothly. Drinks selection in the bar could do with updating!

Quiet rooms and pleasent surroundings As the dinning room was closed in the evening (quite understandable this tme of year) it would have been nice if a couple of tables had been set up in the room next to the Bar . When having a bar meal, the tables in the bar are rather low for eating a meal at. As it was we did go in there and the staff were helpfull.

Nice room. Clean. Quiet area. Staff was attentive, our room had no hot water so we were quickly given a new room. We didn't use the leisure center but did visit it and it was very nice. Good food. Plenty of parking. Difficult road to get to the hotel.

Lovely hotel with fantastic gardens. We particularly liked the leisure centre and especially the jacuzzi overlooking the river. The staff were very nice and helpful with complimentary tea and coffee on our arrival. This was not our first stay at the Minella hotel by any means and it certainly won't be our last

While there for a training nearby, I was able to come to my "home away from home" at Hotel Minella and feel relaxed and well attended. I would love to return just for pleasure and a lengthier stay. Thank you! My only complaint is that I noticed some bits of crisps not vacuumed up between the bed and the bedside cabinet (someone else had left there-- I never had crisps in the room). All else seemed so clean and fresh-- it just left a little question about whether that was the case.

Located very close to Clonmel. It has a swimming pool and spa facilities. An excellent buffet style breakfast was included in the price. Rooms were modern and clean. Despite charging a premium rate for a Superior King Room, the bed is in essence just two single beds pushed together which makes for an uncomfortable nights sleep and is also not what was paid for.

Spacious room with balcony. Easy access to town centre. Restaurant meal. Breakfast. Noisy children running riot until 1am. We were on the fourth floor close to the lift and enjoyed their revelry, playing with the lift and running up and down the corridor! Television in room should be on adjustable bracket so it can be adjusted to be viewed from sitting area.
