    Its design and overall appeal

Too far out of town. We got wet walking home. No apparent taxis in Clonmel.

Rooms were good especially jacuzzi and hot tub rooms. Staff were excellent and very helpfull.

Breakfast was never hot, only if you asked for it to be warmed up. Restaurant although good has a very limited menu and will bore the pants off you after 3 nights.

    Staff we're very pleasant

Very dated and worn furnishings. Room and food costs totally out of line with what was delivered. Taps in the bathroom barely reached the sink & poorly lit.

The service from check in to check out was both friendly and personal. The hotel's grounds are amazing and so picturesque. The old world charm of the hotel coupled with friendly service made for a memorable and enjoyable stay.

Leisure centre is nice, rooms are of a fair standard, staff pleasant.

Error with bill on check out, it was resolved when we queried it. Slow service for bar food, had to ask for condiments rather than them being brought along with food.

This is what you'd call a 'proper' hotel ..... It gives off a certain ambience .... A ship well run, no detail to small. I felt extremely cosy here. We had been travelling around a lot and really longed for a lovely meal and that's exactly what we got and the large dessert trolley rolled out for our perusal was a delight. Great to see a massive gluten free choice for breakfast and a chef that cooks your eggs in front of you. The ground of the hotel are fab to !

    That we couldn't stay longer.

Tea and cake brough to room on arrival was a lovely touch. Staff very friendly and professional and we were late vacating the room and not a word was said.

First impression on arriving up the driveway - not very good as hotel looks very dated. However, on entering and viewing rear of hotel - very good.

Very vriendly staff and a lovely atmosphere for a comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable stay. Would definitely recommend friends to stay here.

Some of the facilities are in need of a little TLC.

Location overlooking the River Suir makes it far more attractive than the Clonmel Park Hotel, where we've previously stayed. Loved the dog and warm Irish welcome... a family feel was certainly felt by my partner and I and we really liked the touches... Breakfast was also excellent

Room service like the restaurant closes at 9.30pm, which was inconvenient as we arrived at 10pm following a long drive. We selected a king sized smoking room - the view from our room was the car park and I think these rooms shouldn't be classified as anything more than a normal room. (I was dissapointed as I had anticipated paying for a king size room, would automatically mean an excellent river view). So I guess a clearer explanation would be great.
