Tourist Attractions and Activities around Best Western Hotel Rosslare:
The heritage town of Wexford is only 15 minutes drive away, with its quaint streets, specialist shops, churches, museums and art galleries. Wexford is renowned for its annual Opera Festival, held every October.

Discover more of the area's history by visiting the Irish National Heritage Park, Johnstown Castle and Gardens and Yola Farmstead Folk Park, an 18th century themed farmstead.

Nearby is the picturesque fishing village of Kilmore Quay with its thatched cottages and an excellent sport-angling centre.

Activities are plentiful: safe swimming in the beach of Rosslare Strand; long walks on St Helen's and Ballyhealy beaches; and golf at St Helen's Bay; Rosslare and Wexford Golf Courses and the nearby golf driving range to practice that drive! Water sports are very popular in the area, so why not try some sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, canoeing or even diving.

Whilst in the area check out the date of the next Wexford hurling match at Wexford Park or the many racing meetings at Wexford Racecourse. There's greyhound racing in Enniscorthy every Monday and Thursday nights all year round.

Excellent location for the early ferry to Pembroke. Bar food was good for the price. Live music in the evening (Friday).

Convenience of location

The room was very cold - the staff checked the room promptly but were unable to improve the heating. As we were leaving next day on an early ferry we put up with this but it would have been unacceptable for a longer stay.

Was good to watch the ferries from our balcony. Nice walk infront of the hotel.

Not easy to find, no street name and not signed from the main road - luckily Rosslare Harbour is not that big.

We booked a family with one child and one infant. We were placed in a room above the bar where a band started at 10.30pm. This went on until around 12.30am. Not really what we were after.

Its location

Did not like having the live music actually in our room!We knew there was live music on the Sunday night but did not expect to be above it withthe bass reverberating through bed & hearing every word the singer sang! Unacceptable in hotel where people want a night's sleep before catching an early morning ferry. Children were unable to sleep. The fire alarm rang at 6.15am no explanation/apology

Staff were exceptionally helpful in moving us to a new room when we discovered the very late music performance in the bar.

Quite run down for the price but we only picked it due to its very convenient location next to the ferry.
