I like the house and the location was excellent, also clean and nice staff.
The room was in the basement and it was very cold and small.
cloe to the city center (15 mn walk) kitchen facilities Room for 3 people
Bathroom too small and too low. Room cold in the evening central heating starting during the night.
Close walking to main attractions. Wifi great.
They got our arrival date wrong. Not met by host so had to use another guests keys to get in. Small, dank room (Room 6) Basic continental breakfast. Felt like a budget hostel - not a B & B
The location. Parking off street was available.
The bedroom was tiny and the window could not open unless supported by a yoghurt container. The shower room had mould between the tiles and black liquid gurgled out of the shower drain if the handbasin plug was removed. We had to make our own toast and coffee in the kitchen and wash and put away our dishes although a continental breakfast was supposed to be served. Empty orange juice jug in fridge. Washing was hung in the dining room to dry.
Antonia, the landlady was very friendly and welcoming Location is excellent
Room was a little dark Ensuite was very small and basic
The location is great - easy walk to downtown, easy walk to the Canal train station. Couldn't be better. Antonia is very friendly and helpful, we had lovely breakfasts.
There really isn't anything to dislike about Huband house, we were in the basement so it is a bit damp, but that is the way basements are and we needed the big room. Housekeeping is up to standards for this part of the world.
My room. Friendly and relaxed feeling and management of B&B Location to town centre (15min walk) Value
very friendly and helpful owner, wi-fi really working, clean room, silent and quiet during the night, very good price, close to the center, soap holder in the shower, kitchen freely available for guests
There was no one there when I arrived. The door was locked and another guest came down to open it for me. Room wasn't ready yet. Poor breakfast. The water in the shower was barely warm.
It is located in a quiet zone but just 20 minutes walking from the city centre. The atmosphere was familiar and very close to the other customers and I had everything I needed like freezer, microwave or even an oven to cook my own food. My room was warm and the views from it were very nice and it was also equipied with a private shower and a big wardrobe.
Not a bad comment. My days there were awesome
It was all very laid back, just what you want when going away to relax, everything you could want for breakfast all ready for you
Quiet, near to my seminar, no meal times to worry about
dodgy lock on my door, no staff to replace breakfast items if other guests finish the supplies !
Not accept Credit Card
Very good location
Never saw ANY staff stayed 2 nights, nobody to show you where anything was, luckily i met other guests who showed me where the kitchen was, more like a hostel than b&b
Very clean room (the knob on the wardrobe kept falling off and the toilet seat was a bit rickety but not a big issue). Being able to help myself to breakfast when I wanted it, hairdryer to use. Nice location overlooking the canal and a good price.
I did not meet one member of staff and was let in by another guest. Left a message Saturday morning to ask how to pay and no one had been in all day to reply. The same guest suggested I left cash in my room which I was not happy about but did as I also felt uncomfortable about walking out without paying, even though the B&B had my credit card details. The breakfast things had not been put away all day and night so jam was still sitting on the table. There was a party next door on Saturday with thudding music (I actually got up and dressed at 3.30 am to find out where it was coming from) but hadn't the courage to ask them to turn it off, so poor night's sleep. I would like to say I'd go there again but I suppose I came away feeling that nobody particularly cared whether I was there or not and whether I had everything I needed.
Very good contact with owner. Excellent situation near the town center. Private car park.
Out of the dedicated cycling tracks Dublin street are not comfortable for cycling
Friendly atmosphere from the 1st minute to the last; made feel very welcomed in an honest genuine way. Room clean and tidy and facilities were as described on site :-)
Friendly Staff, quiet room, nice bed with a good sleep, clean bathroom and shower, free internet, nice breakfast, good value for money
nothing, best place in Dublin that I stayed at so far
it was not clean
Location, view of the canal, kitchen available.
The hall and stairs smelled of old age and dampness. At least the room was clean, but also slightly smelly, fortunately the weather was good, so I could sleep with the window open. Although I had talked to the landlady (who does not live there) on the phone only 2 hours beforehand that I'd arrive between 4 and 5 and she had confirmed to be there, she was not. When I called her, she said, she'd be there in about an hour. So despite arranging the time, I would have to wait if there had not been a very friendly other (permananet?) guest who opened the door and showed me the room. The (continental) breakfast was not served, but you would have to make everything yourself which seems fine in a hostel, but not in a B&B. I will certainly not stay there again.
Everything! No staff, dark dank damp room with a very musty smell, Towels & bed damp, rubbish bin full. Dead moths on ceiling and walls & when light went on live moths all over the place. Could not stay in room, no staff visable, sat up all night in sitting room, made cup of tea from self service bad smell fro fridge sour milk + whatever. Part of the house we saw not habitable should be condemned. Worst experience ever of B/B in Dublin. Poor does not describe it, rank, terrible nearer the mark. Room 6 strikes again! Ivan - Mayo
