The Hylands Burren Hotel is located in the charming village of Ballyvaughan, on the east coast of Ireland. This modernised 18th-century house offers large bedrooms, a fine restaurant and traditional Irish hospitality. The en suite rooms at the Hylands all feature TVs, hairdryers and ironing equipment. Tea/coffee making facilities are also provided. Fresh from Ballyvaughan harbour, the Hyland’s Burren restaurant specialises in seafood and local Burren lamb. Home-baked scones, cakes and desserts are also on the menu. The more relaxed bar has open fires, regular live music and a bar menu. Aillwee Cave is a 5-minute drive away and the Burren National Park is within 10 miles of the hotel. There are several golf courses in the area and free parking is available at the hotel. Staff were very friendly.Rooms were lovely.Food was very nice.We were made feel very welcome.The breakfast was really nice and the young guy that served us was very good at his job.

Was in Ballyvaughan for Cycling Tour De Burren and Hylands Hotel was ideal. We were allowed to leave our cars there during the Tour even though we had already checked out and they allocated one room for us to shower in afterwards. Overall the service was excellent and we would definitely go back!!!

Myself and my wife took part in the burren marathon the hotel was close to the start finish line which ments we could have a shower after it which was great The staff were friendly the food good but the hotel itself needs a lot of work to bring it up to a 3 star standard Friendly staff and the food was good

I really enjoyed my stay, very clean, comfortable, safe, staff very friendly... excellent food.. if i am in aera again i will def go back... very welcoming...xxxx

Welcoming atmosphere in reception area. Staff were friendly but under pressure. Old blood stain on bed spread, television not functioning properly, overheating hair dryer in the room.

The peaceful surroundings away from the hustle and bustle. The friendly staff who were always available The easy access to the surrounding towns Tidyness and cleanliness second to none Comfort for the weary traveller Traditional reception area - nice and small Fabulous choice for breakfast for an athlete

Room was clean and spacious. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had dinner booked at a restaurant 2 km down the road and they gave us a lift down, which was above and beyond the call of duty. As an added bonus, we got back fully intending to go straight to bed when we heard music from the bar and were treated to three musicians playing "real" trad. P.S. Hotel is extremely welcoming for walkers in groups so it would be a good spot to base in for Burren walking. No issues

The staff were friendly if a bit casual. I think it is somewhat overpriced, both the price of a room and the food. The food concentrates on quantity rather than quality. The service in the dining room/bar was poor.

location, friendly staff, parking good,reasonably comfortable. good breakfast. no wifi in rooms, very poor selection of television channels, poor maintenance of bathroom fittings (unable to turn off cold water tap in sink. no strainer in sink if you dropped a ring for instance it would be gone for ever, unable to reduce the shower temperature to "cool"., bathroom door hard to shut. Underside of bed throw heavily stained. Maybe we just had a below standard room, but it really needs updating. Evening meal in the bar was appalling.
