Score from 80 reviews Very good
Bathroom was clean. A definite plus.
No television operational. No remote control. Always having problems. My daughter stayed a few weeks previous and no heating or hot water working.
Location, bar and breakfasts were excellent.
Televisions in rooms old and not working. Could do with a general update in decor.
comfort and staff
shabby could do with updateing
the 1980's tv didnt work, toilet didnt flush..room was shabby....we were given another room with the same tv problem...wil never stay again....very disappointing to pay same money for this as I did for the Crowne Plaza which is an amazing hotel 5 mins away!
I got a room at the back of the house - away from traffic in this busy town centre location The Breakfacst was good
No WiFi in room Limited TV
rooms are grubby and run down but clean, décor could really do with being updated and fresh paint would make huge difference . TV was not working in room and lock on bathroom door was broken
Staff and breakfast were good. Room was clean but a bit shabby.
The music from the bar below our room playing loudly until 1am on a Thursday night and 3am on the Saturday. There is a lift between the hotel and the bar which allows the sound and some locals to travel up through the hotel. At 2am some revellers were running along our corridor and slamming doors before disappearing down the lift again. We were told that the hotel was an Entertainment Hotel by email after booking so we're aware there would be some noise but we did not anticipate that we would not be unable to sleep due to the volume and party goers running amock in the hotel.
A lot of noise from street below late at night
the staff and location
the tv didnt work, the curtains were broke, the breakfast room hadnt enough room to accommodate us, they ran out of food a number of times so the waiting time was long.
Staff were friendly, rooms were clean, location was central to town,
Place very shabby, tv didn't work in room man came up to fix it, but he couldn't said he'd repace it never again saw him. Breakfast would have been ok only for the fact it was served on cold plates. Press lift to go to third floor it says your on the fourth very confusing
Staff were friendly
Breakfast could have been cooked better
Beautiful hotel, staff was lovely we had problem with telly not working but the receptionist changed us room, we were very happy with our stay
Friendly staff good location right in center of town
Staffeta very friendly and helpful
The bar was lively on the saturday night that we stayed and the music was good.
The room was very outdated, The basin was cracked right through and breakfast was very sparce eg no eggs out either fried scrambled or poached no bacon left. We did order fried eggs which came half an hour later.
Nothing except locational
Breakfast good, location good
Stayed at weekend so nightclub very loud until 3am Television don't work - no signal No hot water When you arrived they do point out above but too late by then to seek other accommodation !
Had a great time in Dundalk will be going back soon hotel is in a great place would have no problem staying again
Filthy rooms. Unhelpful and unfriendly staff. Hotel very rundown
Staff were really lovely and very helpful & knowledgeable about restaurants etc
Picked Halloween night & Graduation party on that night too so a little noisy
The staff were particularly helpful and pleasant. Special mention should be made of Jacqueline Millar who was of great assistance to me on my arrival on this latest visit and on previous visits.
On my last two visits the television sets were not working in the bedroom.
Staff were excellent
There were too many things to write about for example the noise level was horrendous
Breakfast was excellent. Room was pleasantly warm. Staff very friendly.
Appalling levels of noise. Extremely dated decor. Substantially poor quality in the halls and in room, made the stay feel unpleasant. Window in the room was broken and door looked broken also with cement on it. Didn't get a good sleep. Unfortunately, I would not return.
Televisions in all 4 rooms we had didn t work wifi only worked sitting at the bar, 2 beds looked like online pictures other 2 had blankets and old floral covers. Scrambled egg smelt like fish and was quite brown in colour and one member of family violently sick, on way to airport after breakfast
