the location was ideal, the rooms were reasonably clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. the hotel is extremely noisy at night. The walls are very thin and you could hear the doors banging in the hallway.

Everyone there was extremely helpful and pleasant, location meant we were only metres from everywhere we wanted to go. My room was dark and one or two things needed attention, e.g. lightbulbs needing replacement and all TV channels were not available in each room.

Very pleasant helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast excellent and plentiful. Beds comfortable and bedding crisp and clean. Shower good and strong. It was great to be so central. Decor pleasing but neutral. Would have liked a bigger window, but i am trying hard to find something not to like.

I have stayed @ the Imperial many times over the past 20 years..I Always enjoyed my time there, & felt quite loyal to it, as it was so reliable..always,clean & its location was a massive bonus..Staff @ bar on Monday night really friendly and very laid back, yet attentive. Unfortunately it had been seven years since I was in Galway, & as I stated, because I felt quite loyal to the Imperial, it was the only place I considered staying. However, we were in room 146, & found it not satisfactory @ all. Gloves were found in a ball, at the side of the bed, which indicated to us that staff hadn't bothered to hoover or even look under bed? Ripped hand towel folded & presented in bathroom!! Sheet was thorn on our bed? Can you imagine? I had expected to say all of this to staff as we were leaving, but guess what? Nobody asked us what our stay was like? We were paying guests. Granted we were on a budget, & I agree we didn't pay huge amount to stay at the Imperial, but we were paying guests. €210.00 was a lot of money for us to pay. There are other hotels in Galway & we both agreed to try somewhere new next time! I hope this feedback helps! Oh, and remote control doesn't work in room 146 either!

The location was convenient to shopping and eateries. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room looked as though it hadn't been vacuumed, and the bath tub mat had black mildew on it. The mildew transferred to the tub itself when the mat was removed and placed in a corner. No parking on premises; parking was partially validated, but still had to pay 10 euro.

City centre location. Great breakfast. Comfortable room. When asked, staff gave us a quieter room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Easy walk to great pubs and restaurants. Seaside prom (Salthill) 10 min drive. Nothing.

Location great, staff friendly The room was cold - heating went off after 1.5 hours. Had to call Reception to get it back on. The shower was not working properly and the water in it was cold.

I was working in Galway. My wife decided to accompany me. We had some leisure time on Thursday night and Friday morning. The location was great. The room was comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was excellent. I like the freshly brewed coffee and the croissants were great. Weather was a little cold but no fault to the hotel or the cit.

The windows were triple glazed so even though you were in city centre you could not hear a thing from outside. I also loved d beds, most comfortable bed i have ever had in a hotel. The location is perfect for everything.so central. The one and only thing that let this hotel down was the breakfast. When i booked bed and breakfast i was expecting a fry but they don't do hot breakfasts which was very disappointing but they do them in the bar if we wanted to purchase one. I really did not like that.

The location was perfect, big spacious room and bathroom, friendly staff and comfortable/clean room. The lack of free parking near the hotel, only a continental breakfast offered and quite a long walk from the lift to our room down long winding corridors.
