Imperial Hotel GalwayEyre Square, Galway (Show map) Very good, Score from 147 reviews“Perfect location very friendly staff and room was very clean, comfortable and warm!”
Michael,
Dublin
At Eyre Square, the warm and comfortable Imperial Hotel in central Galway is close to Galway University NUIG and the bus and train station. All rooms are spacious and bright, with modern cherry-wood furniture and a contemporary decor. The residents lounge is informal, cozy and open until late. The outdoor patio is perfect for lazy sunny days. Corrib Shopping Centre is next door, and there is a taxi stand just outside the hotel. Hotel Rooms: 80

I was surprised at how big my 'single room' was and the fact that it had both a single and double bed.It had a flat screen tv and nice bathroom with fresh towels every day.The bed was very comfortable and there was no outside noise at night, which I have experienced in other hotels. The buffet breakfast was excellent, equal to any I have had elsewhere. The carvery offered a good selection of meals at reasonable prices. The staff were friendly and curteous. The hotel is in a good location, close to all amenties and just a bus ride away from the beaches at Salthill and Spiddal.I Enjoyed my stay at The Imperial Hotel and will stay there again. I have no complaints but thought the room could have done with a bit of colour eg some nice pictures on the walls.

Only a 2 minute walk from train station, great location, the price was very good value, the rooms are amazing, really comfortable and spacious and above all else clean, 5 of us in total in our group so we had a double and triple room, even the triple room was spacious, I love this hotel and every time we go to galway, we book this hotel. The breakfast is Continental so we opt to have our Irish breakie in the bar and also very good value.. There really isn't anything bad to say about this hotel.

I loved the location it is beside all the shops and night life. The hotel is ideal for a city break and great value for money. The rooms are clean and the hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. I would not hesitate in recommending the imperial to any of my family or friends

The rooms were spotlessly clean, and the location was perfect for a visit to Galway. The barman in the lower bar was just great, had great interpersonal skills and really knew how to handle a crowd The hotel offers a continental breakfast which is fine, but personally i would have liked to see fresh fruit on offer

Excellent location. Clean comfortable room. Pleasant and helpful staff. Very accommodating breakfast availability times and good selection of food on offer for the continental breakfast included in the room price. No view from room but that was probably compensated for by the absence of noise from the square.

I stayed at the imperial for a weekend with my mother and sister. Its ideally located for shopping and eating out so the location was a winner for us. It's cheap and cheerful. No full breakfast only continental (fresh boiled eggs also but were hard!) If you book a meal in the deal, its served in the bar, there's no restaurant. However it was our second time there so we knew what to expect.

very convenient for city shopping and also ideal touring centre. hotel staff very pleasant and service good in both lounge and breakfast areas. food was very good and served promptly. hotel pleasantly warm and ability to control heat in bedroom was much appreciated. not really a complaint but would have been useful to have bubble bath product provided as difficult to use soap dispenser on wall at shower when using bath.

Great location, very friendly staff. Breakfast is continental. No parking, however, guests have discounted use of city car park, it is a three minute wake to the hotel.

It was in a central location. The room was in a very noisy location. The fire alarm went off at 3am one night because someone was smoking in their room. We could not turn the heaters on or off. The air-conditioning unit made a loud noise every hour.

Location Got no sleep on the Saturday night room must have been right next to nightclub. Also doors kept banging all night. There was a party in the next room which went on all night. Walls are paper thin could hear everything.was so disappointed because there was fab 4 star hotels much cheaper but went with this because of location. Would not stay there again!

Was a great stay at the imperial hotel never a fault with the hotel the staff especially the lady at reception leona,i believe her name was, was more then helpful when we checked in and is an asset to the hotel. Lovely stay and would highly recommend the hotel to friends. Could not find any problems with the hotel maybe some staff were understressed(barstaff) due to the busy weekend but it is understandable in the hospility industry.

Comfort and convenience Continental breakfast is fine and was appreciated . A more substantial breakfast would be more acceptable as the price of 74 euro was sufficient to cover this aspect of my stay .
