I was surprised at how big my 'single room' was and the fact that it had both a single and double bed.It had a flat screen tv and nice bathroom with fresh towels every day.The bed was very comfortable and there was no outside noise at night, which I have experienced in other hotels. The buffet breakfast was excellent, equal to any I have had elsewhere. The carvery offered a good selection of meals at reasonable prices. The staff were friendly and curteous. The hotel is in a good location, close to all amenties and just a bus ride away from the beaches at Salthill and Spiddal.I Enjoyed my stay at The Imperial Hotel and will stay there again. I have no complaints but thought the room could have done with a bit of colour eg some nice pictures on the walls.

Great location, very friendly staff. Breakfast is continental. No parking, however, guests have discounted use of city car park, it is a three minute wake to the hotel.

The hotel room was very comfortable and the television an excellent size. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was ill one night and the barman made hot milk for me and would not charge for it.I Would certainly recommend the hotel to my friends because it is so central and the service so good. The suggestions below are not meant to be critical just helpful so that you can improve matters even further. It was a very good holiday overall and the hotel was like a home from home. It was hard to turn on the shower with the glass panel on the side of the bath. It was very strange too that there were no built in wardrobes in a hotel of this type. The old fashioned one looked out of place in an otherwise totally revamped room. It was very hot and I would have liked the option of a lighter cover in the wardrobe. May I make a suggestion please. The breakfast (very substantial) should offer a low fat alternative to butter. One final comment is that the receptionist was away from the desk when we arrived and somebody else asked us to wait. Unfortuntately her t shirt was very grubby and it was off putting to arrive in a hotel and wonder if the kitchens were manned by people who obviously did not care about personal hygiene.

I liked the location of the hotel which was central. The staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our two night stay here and hopefully will return sometime in the future. Breakfast although continental was perfectly adequate on both mornings. Nothing that we did not like we enjoyed our stay.

The location of the Imperial makes it a great place to see the heart of Galway from, as it is but steps from William St., Eyre Square, and the main shopping area. There are pubs, restaurants, and stores of all kinds wherever you go, not to mention history. The staff at the hotel were great and if I needed anything they took care of it quickly. (I had left a Do Not Disturb sign on my door and the next morning there were fresh towels and coffee/tea packets left outside my room. Usually if you put that sign out you are ignored in most places, but not at the Imperial. It was a nice touch.) I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Kevin Flannery, and the hotel manager, John Gannon, my last night there and we had an excellent and quite enduring conversation together over a few pints. It was a great way to end my trip back to Ireland. I would definitely recommend staying there.

This is the first time I have stayed in the Imperial Hotel and I was delighted with the service I received. My room was warm and clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again in this hotel. The breakfast was beautiful and running til 11.30 ensured we did not have to get up too early. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Ideal location in the heart of Galway city centre. Reasonable price. Breakfast served to 11:30 and late check out at 1. Very noisy, all bedroom doors fitted with springs that slam shut automatically. Popular with hens and stags which added to the noise. Breakfast was continental only, very poor selection.

Was a great stay at the imperial hotel never a fault with the hotel the staff especially the lady at reception leona,i believe her name was, was more then helpful when we checked in and is an asset to the hotel. Lovely stay and would highly recommend the hotel to friends. Could not find any problems with the hotel maybe some staff were understressed(barstaff) due to the busy weekend but it is understandable in the hospility industry.

Comfort and convenience Continental breakfast is fine and was appreciated . A more substantial breakfast would be more acceptable as the price of 74 euro was sufficient to cover this aspect of my stay .
