This charming family-run guesthouse overlooks Galway Bay, and features free private parking on site. The beach is just across the street, and the center of the city is a 10-minute walk away.
Score from 238 reviews Very good
With a beautiful location overlooking Galway Bay, Sunrise Lodge is a family-run B&B on the Salthill Promenade, just a short walk from central Galway.
Score from 378 reviews Wonderful
St. Judes Lodge is a premier B&B in central Galway with great access to the city's attractions.
Score from 261 reviews Very good
Overlooking the famous Salthill Promenade, Galway Bay and the Clare Hills, this elegant hotel features an 82-foot (25-meter) swimming pool, a whirlpool, and a large gym.
Score from 1804 reviews Excellent
Location is excellent, I took exactly 10 minutes to walk to the river Corrib right downtown. Marie and Peter are very friendly and helpful. Off street parking is available, though it is a real squeeze to get in and out. Peter will drive your car out for you if you are really nervous about it
First room we had was rather small, and awkward in places because of the roof angle. Second room was much larger (we moved rooms at Marie's suggestion), but the shower was really stingy with water.
Very quaint, loved the staff
Good location, friendly staff, very comfortable room, excellent breakfast.
Good location, easy walk to town. Lots to do around the area. Plenty of great eateries in galway. Plenty of choices for breakfast.
No water pressure in shower.
Nice, clean, friendly neighbourhood. Had no problem parking. Landlady and all of the staff were really welcoming, breakfast was great and plentifull, can order from a menu. Rooms clean, comfy beds, kind of country chic interior.About 10 mins walk to city center by the seaside.Would stay there again and recommend it to everyone!
Hostess very friendly & professional. Hosts daughter greeted us well,on arrival and offered us tea in our room. Good choices for breakfast menu, same was well presented and very tasty. Good parking facilities at rear of property and on roadside outside property. Easy walking distance from both salt hill & Galway City centre.
Attic room with slanted roof,my partner hit his head a few times. Shower room and toilet area very cramped. No tea or coffee making facilities in room
Everything was fantastic - breakfast was delicious, warm hospitality, comfortable cozy bedroom. We highly recommend it and hope to return one day.
Excellent service. Good local knowledge. Comfortable and homely. Breakfast very high quality - please do not change.
Walking distance to city centre, nice staff and good breakfast.
Bed is little short for people over 1.93m.
Very friendly staff/owner, excellent breakfest selection, cleanliness, proximity to Galway city and Salthill, quite good wifi connection.
Fantastic hostess and good breakfast
Great variety for breakfast, had a wonderful shower and enjoyed my stay. The owner and her daughters were very attentive and I would stay again. A 10 minute walk into the city but that was fine.
Parking was a bit hit and miss, had to park on road outside as there was little room round the premises. Only complaint was the tea and coffee at breakfast were cold but given fresh hot tea when requested.
Lovely, comfortable, clean and close to city centre
Nice place and location, very good room with bathroom, staff very kind and polite. Highly recommendable.
We absolutely loved Inishmore House from the moment we stepped through the little red gate into the front garden. Out of four trips to Ireland, it's my favorite B&B. Our hosts made us feel welcome and comfortable, the way one would greet old friends who had come for a visit. They recommended a wonderful place to eat dinner along the sea with a playground area around the corner where we took our three and five-year olds to run around. The sitting room and breakfast area at Inishmore are charming, where my parents were able to enjoy a nice conversation with our host over tea, while our kids looked at some of the children's books on the shelves. Our hosts provided a wonderful breakfast selection where we all felt well nourished before the next leg of our trip. The bedroom and en-suite bathroom were clean, roomy, and comfortable. It's a pleasant 10 minute walk to Quay Street. When we return to Ireland, we will book Inishmore House again. We will recommend them to everyone we know traveling to Galway. We only regret we weren't able to stay longer!
Location: we could walk into Galway, or to Salthill. Parking: plentiful, on street. Owners: friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, open. We watched some of World Cup with the husband. Organization: everything was more professional then all other B&Bs we stayed at: information folder in the room, breakfast menu. And able to take credit cards. Nothing at all negative.
The hostess was friendly and helpful.
There was nothing that merits a complaint.
Wonderful hosts, friendly and helpful with good recommendations. Lovely house, very clean. Breakfast was filling and tasty!
Great BnB - good location with short walk into the town centre, everything clean and well looked after. Hosts were welcoming and helpful in suggesting local places of interest and organising tours etc. Breakfast perfect, lots of choice and well cooked! Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
This was the best B&B we stayed in in Ireland. Our host was pleasure to meet and extremely helpful in booking trips and finding good pubs and restaurants.
About a 10-15 minute walk to City Centre in Galway where all of the restaurants, pubs, and shops are. Nice place to stay in Galway
This is a very good family run B&B with very kind staff. It has spacious and clean rooms and is located in a quiet area of Galway not far from the Wolfe Tone Bridge where you can find good restaurants as well as the best music pubs of Galway. From the Inishmore B&B you can also easily access the South park and enjoy astonishing views of the Galway bay.
Room was nice, large, comfortable. Breakfast was varied and good. Could walk to city centre, restaurants and harbour. Felt in safe neighbourhood walking back at night.
Owner was warm and welcoming, very attentive during breakfast. Breakfast selection was excellent, much more than usual full Irish....we had french toast and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon....would highly recommended both! Overall, excellent value for money...clean, comfy room close to both Salthill and Galway city.
everything was great, beds were very comfortable, everywhere was spotless. breakfast was very impressive, lots of choices. hosts were very helpful. will definetley stay there again when next in Galway.
