Free wifi, lovely food.
No welcome on arrival, no receptionist(just on departure receptionist available at the desk...), loud music from the bar(no good for families with kids), too warm(no heat control),
When went into the hotel, thought it mightbe noisy during the night because the downstairs bar, but unexpected quite. Got pint of Guinness, very fresh. Will recommend to friends.
all the staff were friendly and helpful and would go back again
I enjoyed talking to Rosie, the lady who served breakfast. As a visiting Irishman, I was reminded of the warmth and friendliness of the Irish people. Please thank Rosie for her service.
Rose in the restuarant and room service was very helpful
Building dated and needs refurbishment
Excellent breakfast and very comfortable stay
A sign on the lift stating that you must have member of staff to assist you when using the lift, no one around to help.
As someone who visits many hotels during the course of the working year, this certainly one of the friendliest hotels I have ever stayed at. The full Irish breakfast will set you up for the day.
The wonderful views towards the Coast, and the peace and tranquility.
Pleasant staff and lovely breakfast
The room we stayed in was in need of updating. The fan in the bathroom was almost deafening at times. Also the extraction fan for the restaurant was located outside our room and caused vibrations in our ceiling! This was turned off at 7pm and restatrted again in the morning. Not recommended if you wished to relax between sight seeing!
Good location and friendly helpful staff. Cleaning staff did a good job considering the overall condition of the facility.
The facility is old and needs to be renovated. It looked like mould in the bathroom on ceiling and upper walls
nice old fashioned hotel, staff were particularly friendly. Food was excellent and dining room had pleasant outlook.
No music on the night we stayed
Great location only 5 minutes walk from Malahide centre shops / restaurants / bars / train station for the DART into Dublin. Brilliant location for airport - only 5 minutes by car.Very good big breakfast if desired. Atmospheric and lively bar with live music on Sat night. Overall very good value for money.
Only a few very minor niggles: The phone in the room didn't work. The extractor fan for the kitchens below was extremely noisy (but stopped at 7p.m.) The TV was tiny and no BBC channels available although other UK stations were.
We were made welcome right away, rooms clean, beautiful view and great food!
very enjoyable stay food excellent quality and value for money
got my car hit in the car park big disappointment makes it a very costly stay
The bar food and evening meal were very good staff very good a complete revamp-would make this a very excellent venue it in no way relates to the advertisement
Breakfast was poor pouched eggs were nearly raw totally unacceptable very limited choice, hygiene was low we were booked in for two nights only stayed one. We are well traveled so we do not make this comment lightly.
It was convenient to a function we attended in Malahide and as Dubliners we would not recommend this hotel to anybody.
The hotel is shabby, staff indifferent, bedroom a disgrace and totally overpriced 80Euro per night with no breakfast. This is just our opinion which you asked for.
resturant and staff very good
person in reception not very friendly
COULD NOT CONTROL THE HEATING IN THE BEDROOM.
The location was very good, had a conference in a nearby facility so was only 10mins walk away. The hotel is situated opposite the island, walks possible on the moors, lovely views on clear days. Limited breakfast but nice and fresh. My room was on the rear end so quiet during the night even though its on a main road. Room I has was spacious and queen size bed nice and comfortable. Abundant supply of tea and coffee in the room. Room also had iron and board in place, in other hotels this is not always the case as you would need to ask for one and sometimes pay a deposit.
The bathrooms need a freshening up, extractor so noisy! I think that it is a bit pricey compared to the nearby Grand Hotel. Room was spacious, mirrors might need repositioning though.
Beach Restaurant on Saturday night Local area Marina Toots village train Mali hide castle Available wheatfree + gluten free items in local village and hotel
Pillows bit hard and lumpy
room basic but comfortable Excellent location adjacent to Malahide and beach. First class food in both restaurant and bar.
Needing a little TLC overall. Insufficient parking for residents at weekend. No receptionist available at weekend.
Right in front of the sea. Restaurant/breakfast room had sea view. Very helpful staff. A little bit old fashioned ( in a nice comforting way) Lovely polished wood bar with a lively atmosphere.
The rooms need to be updated.
friendly stuff, wonderful breakfast room, the pub was in the house (but we can`t use it), it was not noisy
narrow room for three persons
