Very good location. Good bar. Very noisy room above the the bar (band playing till early hours) and adjacent to toilets open to restaurant / bar customers. One bed in the triple room was unusable due to damp caused by it being pushed up to window and effected by rain/condensation. Room seemed not to have been used for some time or this would have been noticed.

The comfort of the mattress was very good. The rest was not that perfect. The room was clean on the first view but the second View was not that nice. The bathroom was smelling very old. The milk for tea was old too and was done since 12-12, so we put it into the bins.

It was close to the sea and to the village of malahide. Very close to the grand hotel It is essentially a pub with some rooms above it. Our room smelt very strongly of smoke and was basic but comfortable enough. However the walls were paper thin and it was impossible to sleep once neighbours were up. There was no hot water in the morning. In general the desk was not manned so you had to always go looking for staff and when you found them they were generally unfriendly and not particularly welcoming. Despite explaining we were going to a wedding nearby and would be back late and assured this was no problem we were locked out for 10mins at night on our return. In general felt like a stay in a very budget hotel but at 70euro it was not value for money.

Friendly and helpful staff. Room was comfortable. Instant hot water. We were under the impression that the breakfasts would be additional to our accommodation. We did not have breakfast everyday and yet we were charged for full Irish daily. It should be made clear to the guests what they will be paying for upfront and not when they are settling the bill at the end.

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff; The value for money which was excellent; The hotel location, near Malahide village; Also its closeness to the sea with excellent sea and estuary views from the hotel restaurant ; The high standard of the room with a big and very comfortable bed; They could pay a little more attention to the working order of the room television and although not a major point with me should perhaps look to upgrading the range of available tv channels.

There are only 11 rooms but the restaurant is very good as seen by the large number of diners. A vert large Pub serving a good range of drinks and good food. Parking on site can be a problem due to numbers in Pub and Restaurant but a free car park is just opposite with access to wonderful beach. I will stay again when next in Malahide. Its so popular!!!!

The staff were lovely and the rooms provided everything we needed. Breakfast was gorgeous even though I already knew the quality of food was great through past expericed of dining in the restaurant. While the hotel is quite old, it did provide everything that we need and it was very clean, however the reception area is a bit smelly, due to the old carpets and stale smoke so if anything I would recommend that the decor is updated

It was a short 15 minute drive to the airport, offered easy access by public transportation to Dublin AND was directly across from a great beach and seaside walk. Restaurant AND pub on premises. Parking was limited because the building also housed a restaurant and pub, but it was free.

We liked the ambience of the lounge, bar and restaurant. Comfortable and friendly atmosphere. Fresh vegetables (no frozen rubbish) Handy to public transport. Huge comfortable bed and towels changed regularly Quietness of the restaurant at breakfast time. Could do with a wee bit of background music.

Its location. Down to earth friendly staff. A fine big bed. Even though we only had breakfast there appeared to be a great variety of menues between the carvery, early bird and restaurant. A 2 star hotel punching above its weight. Guinness was the best. Will probably stay again and bring the kids the next time. Found it difficult to get the right temperature in the shower. Too hot or too cold, but we managed alright. Although I would recommend the hotel to others I know a few fussy people I wouldn't recommend it to. They are the type that want 5 star hotel for 2 star price and usually aren't happy anyway. You can generally see through their comments on trip advisor.
