The Harcourt Hotel is in central Dublin, a 5-minute walk from St Stephens Green. It features an Italian restaurant, the D-two Bar & Nightclub and an all-weather heated beer garden.
Score from 1102 reviews Good
In the heart of the Georgian city of Dublin, this 3-star guesthouse features traditional dècor and furnishings. It was built in the 18th century, and was once part of the Earl of Clonmel’s estate.
Score from 1010 reviews Very good
It was a great location, close to everything and lots to do! It would probably be a good place to stay if you were staying up to party and could tolerate the heat!
The room was so hot! We had no choice but to leave the window open and slept with cold clothes on our heads. We were aware of the clubs in the area and given ear plugs but unfortunately because we had to leave the window open the noise (even with ear plugs) was hard to sleep through. There was also beer in our kettle but the lady at the front desk gave us a new one.
Basically impossible to sleep, it's a big 3 storey niteclub, bedrooms vibrate with noise
center of Dublin, cosy room, good breakfast
The night club is noisy
Free wifi service was good
Very noisy from the nightclub downstairs
Night club under the hotel that did not finish until 4am
Rooms were clean and comfy
Noise - you will get no sleep here unless you are a heavy sleeper Having to queue to get in the hotel at 11ish - the doorman was rude and I had to produce ID to get in The breakfast is limited and pretty much finished by 10 on a Tuesday Rooms were tiny You had to go downstairs to reception to get a TV remote
Lovely staff. Good wifi.
Lift broken. Key cards had to be reprogrammed multiple times in the middle of the night.(during night out)
Disco music till 3.00am
The noise & vibration from the night club, we came in from our night out at 1am to find the hotel reception a cloak room for the night club and the vibration was unbelievable. We couldn't and didn't sleep until it stopped which was 5.30am, then the fighting outside kept us awake until 6am! The worst hotel ever!
Nice location, but noisy. The most famous pub in Dublin just downstairs, so hard to get into sleep. But still close to some attractions.
The hotel wifi is poor, even cannot connected at the ground floor.
The place of this hotel could not be worse, there is a nightclub in the basement 7-days-a-week, and even on the top floor, one can hear the thumping and the music from downstairs. If you are going to party there and want to pass out upstairs, maybe this will work when you are drunk, but as a normal travelling person, you will be very dissapointed and won't get a good night's sleep here.
Parking was an issue, trying to locate the lot initially. Some trouble with toilet flushing. Phone in room didn't work. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Location to city good staff helpfull
Bad security people banging on room door and I was followed to my room music not to bad but people scary and very loud.
Excellent staff on check in. Price included VIP entry to the night club.
Room was lovely, till it started to vibrate
Disco on to 5.30 AM
Is the best hotel
The location of the hotel was convenient as our main reason for staying was a night out with friends
Quite a few stains on the carpet looked like blood felt we couldn't walk around in our bare feet, Sink was a little blocked as it took water ages to go down, Key cards worked first time and never worked again for the rest of the night, Lift did not worked and we were on the top floor so had to drag suitcases up all the stairs.
Loved the little room with view onto Harcourt Str. Great bed, very clean and simple. Good wifi connection. It is located above a very famous bar which is quite popular until late late late. I could hear the merriment all night long and early morning hours. But that didn't bother me
The bathroom was very clean but it smelled like sewage from the pipes? Or outside the window?
The niose and the fact it turns into a night club
An excellent location and good value for money considering the time of year and number of events on in Dublin. The room was clean and tidy and the staff courteous and efficient.
If the sound of a nightclub is going to keep you awake, its probably not the place for you. For me, that was a bonus.
Our rooms were clean and comfortable and the hotel is in a great location. We stayed in the Jackson Court hotel as although the facilities and decor are basic it is good value for money and very central.
Upon arriving in the Jackson Court there was a problem with the door of our hotel room meaning we could not get into our room. The lift in the hotel was broken at the time which was inconvenient as we had been allocated a room on the third floor and had to make three trips down to reception before a member of staff was sent to fix our problem. Having finally gained access to our room we spent an hour waiting for our door to be reset and were eventually moved to a bedroom down the hall - with little or no apology. During our stay at the Jackson Court hotel we found the receptionist to be dismissive and rude, when we told her about the problems with our door she claimed we had not used our room keys properly and was most unhelpful. We will not be returning to the hotel again.
I liked that the hotel was central to where my appointment was.
I didn't like that the staff had a nonchalant attitude. I didn't like that we were on the 3rd floor and the lift was broken for the duration of our stay. The family room in my mind is to accommodate a family but this room just accommodated 2 dbl beds. The bedroom door was difficult to lock from inside. The bathroom door didn't lock. Even though we were on the 3rd floor the noise was intense.
The location is great if you wish to explore the nightlife.
Noise! The air vents in my room were vibrating from the bass of the nightclub. It was 60-70db in my room @ 4am! Do not underestimate the noise levels!
-air conditioning -the bed -the luxurious room
-stairs -windy hallways
Lift was broken all weekend,no seats in lobby area
