Jackson's Hotel, Conference & Leisure Centre  

We had a very restful night. It was very quiet, no banging doors or people making noise in corridors during the night. All the staff we met were very polite and courteous. We were originally checked into a room that was still occupied but the problem was sorted out very quickly and efficiently. We chose to eat in the Bistro rather than the restaurant and the food was lovely.

We were slightly dissapointed with the "large bathroom". It wasn't as large as we would have liked and the bath became very slippery when having a shower. But it didn't spoil our stay and wouldn't put us off returning. Also, it said on our booking form that breakfast was served up till 12:30 pm but on arrival we were told it was only served up till 10am. I put this down to an admin error.

Friendly staff, nice fireplace in lobby, very relaxing.

Only issue was small kids running about in the bar at 10pm. A bit annoying.

The family room we booked was, although reasonably clean, very worn. The shower struggled to work, and the bed matteress's were very tired.

The atmosphere was brilliant the staff was lovely and the Hotel itself and surroundings was lovely

The breakfast on Sunday morning was very dissapointing, toaster broken, no orange juice left and the quality of breakfast was poor.

I liked everything, the staff were very friendly and helpful,the rooms clean and lovely and warm.i planning on going back.

Lovely hotel. Stayed in the new part . staff very helpful. food freshly cooked. room well heated. no noise at night.

Very good hotel all round. nothing I didnt like about it.. just a commment on access to the new part , have to take two lifts from the reception. would prefer to have an external access door -- near reception and car park. using room key for security.

The mattress in the first room I had was a bit on the hard side. I had to move room because the plumbing in the bathroom was not working (no hot water) but the mattress in the room they moved me to was very nice and the plumbing worked fine. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi signal was bad in the second room. But overall it was a nice place to stay and I would go back

The staff were very friendly, hotel was clean, lovely meals both nights, good breakfast and easy access to tourist places.

The room was cold as the radiators needed bleed. I had to wait 2 hours on clean towels as the hotel was busy and the jacuzzi we paid for didn't work. The goodside though was that they were apologetic and offered us a free weekend.

Staff where friendly, easy enough to find and free parking.

Room was tired, dated decor, carpet was thread bare, pool and steam room felt dirty, unclean, also I asked for a non-smoking room however got housed in a smoking part of the hotel.

I loved the friendliness of the staff, the unobtrusiveness of coming and going as we pleased.The beautiful walk along the river at the rear of the Hotel.Spending my husbands money in McElhinney's. Alfie the resident Red Setter greeting me ,my husband and daughter,having lovely meals presented to me and no clearing up. And the friendliness of the staff including the leisure centre staff, the cooks and the cleaners who all appeared to have a genuine interest in each individual family staying with them. Will certainly stay again !!!!!!!!

very good but room standard was just fair.

I enjoyed the evening food and it was reasonably priced. The leisure centre was brilliant.

The receptionst appeared not to know what rooms were non smoking. I was shown 2 smoking rooms for a start. The room was cold the heat was turned on when after we booked in. The room was not serviced on the Saturday of the stay. On Sunday the contents of the bin was left on the coffe table. No picture on rte one television in room.Breakfast was very basic. Very surprised overall for a 4star Hotel.
