Superb quality and cleanliness of the 4 bed dorm en suite
Misinformation about getting 3 pints on the pub crawl
Big, modern, clean and well equipated building. The dorms are spacious and what you get is very fine.
WiFi was not working at all at evening (I tried during half an hour and give up thinking it was too much people trying it at the same time). Too much people also for such a few common space (specially in the kitchen). The key card didn't work properly.
Shower is sometimes with cold water.
I haven't been myself but had 2 guests of mine. Have asked them if it was clean/comfortable, etc. and they gave me a good feedback overall.
wi-fi not available in the rooms but that wasn't a big issue to be honest. so all good so far.
Staff Location Facilities Atmosphere Safety
the bed it was solid no comfort 1 extremly thin pillow the staff did not pass on a message from a friend who tried to contact me so missed each other ruined weekend also took payment before they were supposed to left me with bank charges beware also states within 5 min walking distance from temple bar id say 12 mins to 15
+Location +helpful and friendly staff +Rooms were nice +wifi in the lounge +a solid breakfast
Location Staff Super mega clean Good breakfast
Checkin at 2p.m and checkout at 11 a.m
The hostel is clean, organised, good location for Bus Eireann, free breakfast is tea/coffee, toast, jam, cornflakes, apple and orange juice
a bit of a walk from city centre and not easy to find if you've not been before. The self catering kitchen gets very busy and you can hardly move or find a seat at times. At with other hostels, there are too many large groups that take over the whole kitchen area.
Location and friendly staff
really friendly staff, good common areas, easy access to the centre of town and just off several main streets. extremely close to bus and train stations.
Location near connolly station Day staff was great and helpful
Wi-fi didn't work properly No wi-fi in rooms
Easy to reach from airport
When you are booking you are handed a receipt which we threw away but was nearly not allowed in that evening as the receipt is a counterpart to your key card which we were not told. It is expensive for a double room, more than the hilton for far less! Also, people shushing you in the passageways when you just talking was a bit unnecessary. Staff were average, not too friendly and helpful... Not sure I would stay here again.
I had a great time, you're staff was very nice and, they work really really hard to keep you're place up.. For me being disabled they where a great help . Thank you.
You had no fruits . At breakfast .
Location is nice unless you want to be right next to the party area (20 min walk south). All in all, just fair place for a hostel
They over-booked our room, sending a person to our private room. Very unpleasant surprise to find someone in your fully paid bed. It wasn't nice to the fellow traveler either (obviously).
ensuite shower toilet
Everything is very good.
The hostel is quite ok. It is clean, in good location. There iron and lock room exists. Beds are good. Convenient system with door lockers by cards.
- Strange system in shower when I needed to push button every 10 sec - No Internet in rooms - Could be quiter - No shampoo in shower and soap only near washbasin
There is no a private place or library to carry out your personal work like reading or writing.
The beds were really comfortable, the room was really clean and the staff was great.
They didn't have wi-fi in the bedrooms, only in the common areas. But even in the common areas, the speed of the connection was awful. I tried several times to make a skype call and it was impossible.
I was delighted to find Jacob's Inn friendly, clean, comfortable. All my travelling needs were met. Also I found the other travellers friendly and very considerate. Best features: Staff, comfy bed, quiet, luggage storage, breakfast, internet access. And sauna facility a few doors down.
I went based on a review that said "clean" and it was. Breakfast was simple - toast and cornflakes and if you got there too late the staff would get you some bread. Location is right by a supermarket (supervalu), Connolly station and is easy to get to from the airport. Also walking distance to The Church and Temple Bar. Keith (our tour guide) was awesome on our free city tour yesterday - he knew heaps about all of the places he showed us and kept it interesting with stories. Don't know his name, but the guy on the desk yesterday morning was extremely helpful with helping me figure out how to get to Kilcock and Kilbeheny (even though he'd never heard of the place).
The WiFi is free, but rubbish. It only works downst in the communal living areas and disconnects constantly. There were about 3 wall sockets in my 12 bed dorm, making it impossible to charge your phone in the rooms. This means that you have to sit downstairs in the dining room, but you get kicked out of there just before midnight. If you have important things such as booking tickets, you will be better to pay for Internet as it cuts out before you have time to confirm your booking. (I spoke to other travelers and they had all of the same problems, so it wasn't just me) If a good night's sleep is a priority, splash out and get a private room or earplugs.
Lots of other travellers, many thing to do and see close to hostel
Not the cleanest hostel, also people were snoring so I couldn't sleep
Comfortable room, free breakfast, very secure, and very friendly staff
Nothing because this place was awesome
