The location and cleanliness. Hello, I hope the following is actioned and sent to the relevant people.I Stayed in Jury's 5/11/11 room 515.I had one of the worst experiences ever in a hotel.I Stay in hotels on average 20 to 30 nights per year.I Have stayed in Jury's on previous occasions in different areas/city'S.It is part of my employment to travel.I Checked in approx 20.00 and found the male receptionist to be flippant and seemed annoyed when I asked him simple questions like breakfast times etc-info that should and usually is forwarded at arrival.I Left the hotel and socialised for the night.Dublin was very cold that night-recorded as - 1.On arrival to the hotel with my partner we entered our room only to find the room was freezing cold. Both of us in unison commented on it immediately.I Checked for heaters only to find none. The blankets on the bed were multiple sheets as opposed to a quilt. My partner rang reception ( I did not speak to the person) and informed the receptionist that the room freezing and could we have heaters.A Long conversation ensued which was my partner having to convince the receptionist that we were correct and the room was freezing. This converstaion went on for several minutes. My point is why should any guest have to spend time convincing a receptionist that a room (which he was not in) is freezing. The converstion should have been over in a few seconds followed by a knock on the door by a hotel employee with heaters etc. Also the receptionist (by right it is the hotel to blame-for not properly training thier staff in customer service) had the cheek and arrogance to actually (in his words) advise us to 'listen more attentively on check in for advice on how to activate the room heating.I Assure you that at no time whatsover was this info passed on to us.Apparantly we should have left a key in the internal key slot to ensure that heat would be be transferred to the room while we were absent!!!!

The location of the hotel is excellent in regard to shopping and eating out. We ate in the bar on one evening and it was really nice, and value for money too, the lady that served us was lovely. The room was lovely and clean and comfortable. The luggage storage facility was really excellent and really took some stress out of our visit. Parking is expensive, and also some of the staff were pretty abrupt. Maybe a more welcoming reception experience would be recommended. Breakfast staff were a little unenthusiastic!!

The triple room was well appointed and comfortable. The location was also great for the main attractions of Dublin. Our only complaint was no free wifi in the rooms. Wifi was available in public areas for a fee.

Location and Price Food both nights was not very nice. I would recommend Jurys Inn to other travellers for location but would highlight that the food is very sub standard.

Its location is brilliant. The food in the restaurant was supreme. The staff were very pleasant. We ate in the restaurant one of the nights and there was a slight problem with one of our orders, the problem was dealt with promptly and discreetly. The staff at the reception desk were lovely and very helpful. The lift was slightly confusing, would have been better to have been told how it worked prior to getting into the elevator and reading instructions. The beds were very uncomfortable, and the toilet paper was cheap. The main problem I had was how thin the walls were, it was impossible to have a lie in because of this, and at night it meant people arriving back from a night out in the city was audible.

The location was not just a few mins walk from Grafton Street as described but almost twenty mins. The actual location was very dissappointing, scruffy , run down and quite intimidating when returning at night. We were there for my wifes 50th birthday and I mentioned this in my booking and yet there wasn't even the remotest acknowledgement of this. When we turned on the hot water for a bath it came out dark brown !!!We had to let it run for 5 mins to clear. The room had one 2 foot wide window tucked into a corner and it looked straight out at a wall and onto a roof,

We have stayed there before - it is well located with helpful staff. Beds are comfortable. On this occasion - unlike others - our room was very small. Given the weather - it was during the floods recently - it was impossible to get things dry in such a small space, particulary as we were there for several nights.

We wbere woken early in the moorning by a fire alarm, for which no one said sorry, also the parking was advertised at 13euro a day, we parked at 2.10am and left at 10.15am and it cost use 17euro. For these reasons we won't be staying at this hotel again.

The hotel was quiet at night so we were able to sleep well. Good supply of hot water. Breakfast excellent. Staff very helpful and considerate. We were in Dublin to attend a funeral and the staff found us accurate information about transport and timings. We would definitely recommend Jurys Inn to others and also choose to use them again.

“The Hotel is very conveniently located, in a safe and very good area, central, with lots of public transportation optinons (bus, train, cab). The price was very affordable considering the hotel itself and the provided services. The breakfest was huge, delicious and always in time. The hotel staff was extremly friendly and helpfull (all shifts). The room very clean, spacious enough, warm and 24/7 hot water. The hotel, room and lounge design is very beautifull and warm, gives the impression of a luxury mansion and the comfort of your home. last but not least, the hotel, rooms, lounge, washrooms are very, very clean. I will definately recommend it to all types of travellers. I will go back if I will travel to Dublin again.” Dan, Brussels |
