Kathleens Country House  

L'accueil chaleureux de Kathleen, elle n'est non seulement une parfaite "hôtesse" mais également un excellent "guide" - nous avons beaucoup apprécié ses précieux conseils pour les visites du comté de Kerry et pour les restaurants de Killarney.

L'accueil de Kathleen, chaleureux, attentionné, avec de très bon conseils de visite autour de Killarney (Gap of Dunloe, Kerry, Dingle, National park,...) et restauration en ville. Breakfast de Palace à prix raisonnable, en comparaison aux autres établissements du voyage. Confort à la hauteur du classement 4* b&B. Comme seul bémol quelques chambres proche de la route mais peu passante la nuit, et bonne insonorisation. En fait pas gênant alors que nous avons l'habitude de dormir à la campagne dans le silence total. Et pratique pour accéder au centre à peine à 4 minutes en auto. On s'y sent au calme, loin de la fureur du centre touristique et des bus chargés de touristes... Bon rapport qualité prix. Allez Y...

Même s'il y a 17 chambres on est dans l'esprit des b&B. La proprietaire est adorable très disponible, elle personnalise l'accueil à un mot gentil pour tous les clients. Le luxe et la qualité de la prestation en font pour mois une adresse de référence dans le Kerry

L'accueil chaleureux de Kathleen. La chambre très cosy et la situation géographique en pleine campagne (chambre avec vue sur le jardin). La maison très typique avec beaucoup de charme.

Kathleen was a real treasure - she not only an excellent guide and can make plans for 2-3 days for you but also a very warm person.This really adds value and makes it more personal than a hotel stay. We loved breakfasts and they were cooked very nicely. There is Wi-FI across the house so no issue if you want to use internet. Room was cleaned whilst we were at the breakfast and it was done very neatly but discreetly - loved that. Towels were changed every time and bins emptied. Kathleen can arrange anything from taxi to restaurant booking so even if you don't make plans and go as a spur of the moment (as we did) fear not, as you will be looked after. Car is advisable as there is around 3km to Killarney town centre but very easy to find and accessible.

Kathleen is a consumate professional hotelier. She knows how to make her guests feel welcome, and she is extremely well versed in her region of Ireland, perhaps all of Ireland. She will direct you to the best sights, castles, Irish culture, restaurants, and shopping in unbelievable detail. Kathleen is a real wonder. I would book there again in a heartbeat!

When we arrived we were subjected to a long winded description of the area even though we said we had been to the visitor center and knew where we were going. Our small room, overlooking a roof and at another building, had a very heavy quilt. We asked for a blanket instead and the next night, when we returned, we found a dirty, stained heavy woolen blanket on our bed (we even took a photo of it!). The rug was stained too. The location is further from town than we were led to understand.

Kathleen's hospitality and enthusiasm for her guests and their enjoyment of C Kenny/Kilarnary is outstanding and made our visit. She was very attentive down to the point of delivering fresh milk and busicuts to the room at the end of each day when we arrived back. We would definitely stay again and recommend her and her Hotel to others.

Outstanding service and hospitality. Kathleen gave excellent recommendations for local sites. Beautiful country setting. Great breakfast.

We were looked after really well despite our late arrival. Service was swift in the morning to ensure we had a good breakfast before setting off for the airport which is within easy reach of Kathleen's.

Kathleen, the owner, made us very welcome, and recommended places to visit and restaurants in the locality. She made the visit most enjoyable, and was most caring to all her visitors. Her staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. A very friendly place to stay in a very beautiful area.

Everything. Somehow we got good vibes by just viewing the website, cant explain that. Our intention was to go to Glencoe in Scotland but at the last second we desided to look at Kerry again, we have had many many hollidays in Kerry - all good- but the differance this time was kathleens country house, Never before has the accomadation had such a positive influence on our holliday. We were greeted by Kathleen on our arrival, what an amazing lady, so warm ,friendly, natural, yet professional. Her knowledge of her beloved Kerry is amazing, she spent the best part of an hour pointing out places all over Kerry - now I thought I had seen everything in Kerry but no- Kathleen guided us to lots of beautiful hidden *GEMS*. Our room was lovely and of course spotlessly clean. The dining room was beautifully "set" actually two rooms with an opening between them which made for a feeling of intamitecy, each with a bay window looking out onto a garden of lovely perfumed roses [I did smell them] The breakfast was excellant. Kathleens GIRLS were wonderful they pampered us every morning, their attention to detail was so good they made sure we had everything we wanted and needed. We didnt even have to drink the mains water, Kathleen had delicous spring water on tap which we took with us each morning as we set off on our adventures. Have had hollidays in many countries around the world and stayed in many lovely places but I feel none were better than KATHLEENS COUNTRY HOUSE. We will probably go to Glencoe next time but I know we will be back in Kerry and to KATHLEENS as soon as we can. Jim & Cess Behan Swords Co. Dublin.
