Atmosphere - no heart and soul from the building or hosts.think the gardens take overall priority. Noise - could hear sounds of other guests from within residents areas, at times very off putting when this included sounds of intimate relations ! No tv , not even in the residents lounge!

Wonderful place and wonderful location in the big tropical gardens (if you can find the time to visit them, they're really beautiful). The beach is just 10 minutes walking from the house, at sunset it's really nice. I've never slept so well in my life as in the Alexander room's bed! I hightly recommand this room.

Just a problem with water (it was like green-coloured) in the bathroom I think due to ductings, but nothing important that's why we didn't ask nothing to the staff.

The winding road down off the Ring of Kerry prepares you for what you are about to encounter. Slow down and enjoy the views, the gardens and the lifestyle that Kells Bay House provides. When greeted by the owner, you quickly realise that want you to relax and be pampered. The rooms are to die for, we had booked two rooms as were travelling with family. One had views over the bay and the other looked over a running brook. Each room had a large en-suite with bath and shower. The beds are large and extremely comfortable, in fact, the most comfortable I have ever stayed in my travels all over the world. The breakfast in the morning was first class. We went for a walk along the garden paths and encountered many plants that were from all over the world but melted into the landscape. Recommend highly as one of the best B & B's in Ireland

I only could stay only one day and not longer

Beautiful setting surrounded by amazing sub tropical gardens, so peaceful and relaxing that it is therapeutic for the soul and uplifting for the spirit....a truly magical place. The accomadation, staff and food are 5 star. The owners are friendly and helpful while being unobtrusive, and the Thai food in the restaurant is so good that we actually ate there on two nights. Can not recommend this gem enough!!!!

Kells Bay House and Garden was simply magical. The grounds are beautiful, the views of the sea are lovely and the walks winding through the ancient fern tree groves and forest trees along the river to discover unusual plants along the way was wonderful. The rooms were absolutely beautiful and the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in. We felt like royalty. The Thai food was so delicious and beautifully prepared, and was a welcome treat. The coffee was fabulous. I can not say enough. This was our favorite place to stay and we think of it often when we think back to our holiday in Ireland.

The hospitality was great. The food was excellent. The setting superb. Everything pretty wonderful for a chilled out vacation.

It would have been good to have a bit more choice for an evening meal as my mother-in-law can't eat spices i.e. Thai food.

everything. food was amazing, staff were very nice and helpful, beautiful walks around the grounds. couldn't recommend it highly enough.

accom was a little on the expensive side, but we did have a beautiful appartment with two bedrooms, and was cheaper than the accom we had the previous two nights in killarney (ring of kerry cycle weekend)

Everything, it is the perfect escape. Kells Bay is one of Ireland’s most spectacular settings. The drive along the wild Atlantic way from Glengarriff to, Kells House and Gardens has to be one of the most beautiful roads in the world. Then you turn off the road along narrow winding drive with exceedingly lush greenery, ferns, flowers and low-lying bushes that lead to the entrance of the house as you drive up into the house there are giant ferns from around the world. Our room was excellent and the view from our bedroom window was defiantly a room with a view. The staff and owner were so friendly and welcoming. The gardens are spectacular containing a large collection of sub-tropical plants overlooking the dramatic views of Dingle Bay, and filled with a variety of sub-tropical plants. Then to top all this perfection there is the Restaurant with the most authentic homemade Thai food I have had the pleasure of eating since being in Thailand.

That I had to leave and hadn't booked for longer.

the location is fantastic and near a small beach it is a great place to get away and relax totally no t.v. in room which was great.

just the breakfast was a little basic. a small menu would be better rather than asking you what you would like.
