Centrally located in the beautiful market town of Swimford in County Mayo, only 15 minutes drive from Knock Airport, this hotel is truly the gateway to the West of Ireland.

The perfect location of Kelly's Gateway Hotel makes it an ideal base for touring and exploring the wonderful and majestic region that is the West of Ireland. Whether it be golf, angling, heritage, walking or many other activities, they are all here right on the doorstep of the hotel. The staff at the hotel would only be too happy to organise everything for you to ensure that you have the perfect stay.

Facilities at the hotel include the Jack Feeney lounge area, modern conference facilities, fully licensed Flying Doc bar, Old Barracks restaurant and the Winery bistro.

Kelly's Gateway Hotel is noted for its fine cuisine. Carvery lunch is served daily from 12:30 the Winery bistro. The extensive à la carte menu is available from 17:30 daily. Pub food is served in the Flying Doc bar each evening from 18:00. There is a dish to suit everyone's taste buds at Kelly's Gateway Hotel! All of the ingredients are sourced locally and the meat is 100% Irish.

Area information

Kelly's Gateway Hotel is located in the centre of Swinford, a vibrant and bustling market town. Swinford and the surrounding areas offer a wealth of activities. Swinford itself has a vibrant nightlife; the town comes alive at the weekend with traditional music, discos, late bars and much more.

The infamous River Moy is minutes away and there are numerous brown trout lakes such as Callow Lakes and Lough Conn. For golfers, Swinford hosts its own 9-hole parkland course. The surrounding area offers Castlebar golf club, Claremorris golf club, Ballyhaunis golf club and many more.

There is an abundance of history in County Mayo and Kelly's Gateway Hotel is the ideal base for touring Ireland's West. Visit Swinford's famine monument and mass grave, Hennigan's Heritage farm, Michael Davitt's Museum, National Museum of Country Life, Ceide Fields, Foxford Woollen Mills, Knock Shrine and Ballintubber Abbey; all easily accessible from the hotel.

The shower! the water didnt run doen the drain properly which left a huge puddle on the floor.

the staff were really friendly and helpful thr hotel was a good all rounder if I had any negative at all it would be the pillows are hard and uncomfortable but this is being really picky the hotel was very good and a real value for money excellent.

The staff were friendly and helpful. My room was immaculate and very well presented.

Breakfast was served in the bar - it was a very dull day and the room was dark and uninviting. Breakfast was very good.

Friendly attentive enthusiastic staff, good breakfast. We were offered a choice of room at the front or back. We chose the front eventhough we were told it might be noisy with the window open. It was fine. We appreciated the honesty.

The location suited our needs. Every thing of the highest standered. Staff very pleasant ant helpful .Food exellcent .

I would have pereffed a top sheet in use with the quilt but this is a personal thing with me also a bottle of water in the room for drinking.

The receptionist (short blonde hair)was very nice and helpful considering she was also working in the bar.

The kettle didnt work in our room but that wasnt a big deal! The phone is too far away from the bed also (room 100)
