Location excellent & hotel was upfront about potential noise from adjoining bars so we knew what to expect.
Continental breakfast felt very limited although we knew in advance it would be continental only in with the room. If we went back we would probably stay room only and wander out for breakfast as we did on our second day- the location meant we could easily walk somewhere.
The breakfast was very good and the location extremely convenient for a short city break. Staff were friendly and helpful. The décor was very attractive and the soundproofing was quite good. A good hotel for adults on a short break.
The only downside was the wi-fi which didn't have a strong signal in our room, maybe due to the layout of the building.
The location was brilliant! Beautiful, funky room! Tea facilities, lovely residents bar, lovely warm room.
Can be noisy at night coz of its location. They warned us about this when we booked. You can hear people outside. They do provide ear plugs for you though!
Location, price and breakfast
Breakfast - continental very poor; buffet breakfast with very little on display - v.small boards with cheese and fatty ham, no bread - had to ask for basket to be refilled; poor choice of cereal - unless you like coco pops or rice crispies; no croissants/ pastries; all in all felt very mean effort.
Location was excellent..Bed was extremely comfortable..Room layout was quirky, minimalist and cosy..Exceptional value for money considering it included continental breakfast..Staff were very helpful and welcoming! Would definitely book here again!
The only real downside to Kellys is the noise from the busy pub below, personally it didnt bother me but I can imagine others might not appreciate...
Very friendly hotel
Great location, friendly staff.
Perfect location with a very comfy bed and very cool decor. Very minimilist with a twist of quirkiness
Drinks available 24/7 and great staff!
Nice and comfortable rooms. Location is very central. Super-friendly staff.
no soundproofing to speak of so that even when the bar underneath closes the noise from the street takes over (beerkegg deliveries, screaming partygoers etc). these rooms are def not suited for the average sleeper. In fairness after complaining the hotel staff offered another room, but which was then located next to the bar aircon unit, which was equally noisy.
Each and every time I stay at Kelly's when I am home for Christmas, it is for its fantastic location - absolutely everything in the city is within walking distance. The breakfast is just right, the rooms are warm and cosy and the showers are pretty amazing too.
Like many old buildings, it comes with old-school original features and the single-pane sash windows sadly aren't soundproofed against early morning barrel delivers, folks doing the 12 pubs or strong winds. In fairness to the guys at Kelly's, they offered a room switch to somewhere that I wouldn't have to jam my magazine in the window frame to stop the rattling and was grateful for the gesture.
Nice minimalist design Seamus Heaney Poetry by bed nice touch Friendly staff As central as you can possibly get for Dublin
Room was unbearably hot, even with window open (in December!) and radiators off it was like a sauna...seemed to be underfloor heating and could not sleep comfortably.
We stayed in room one, the penthouse! It was gorgeous. ...so relaxing and love the bean bag!!! Would recommend this to anyone and ill defo be back!
Only thing would be some of the lights are not working. Also be good idea if you got cd's and dvd's in the room. I know theres some at reception but only found them following morning.
the location is a pro... as it's close to great bars restaurants and shops.. we stayed in the penthouse which was really spacious for two.
location is also a con as its right above a busy pub but it didnt affect my sleep even though I'm generally a light sleeper
city centre location
NOISE from approx 5 am beer deliveries in street kept us awake
I asked for a quiet room, they mailed to explain the central location. They gave us a lovely room at the rear and even provided us with ear plugs. Well done !!
No mirror in the main room, caused an issue getting ready in a rush.
The location is perfect, close to the shops and restaurants. Supermarket close by. The bed was very comfortable.
Really central, good breakfast. Spacious room.
Chairs looked good, but not so good to sit in. Things to be aware of: *noise at weekends *no lift
Top - location, smart, chic, value for money...the noise from the residents' bar is also top..so if you can't beat them join them I say!!
Beer garden location bed
Breakfast needs work
Can't recommend high enough. Has everything you need for a stay in Dublin!
Great Location, cool decor.
Noise from street
Great location, friendly & very helpful staff nothing was too much trouble for them.Fantastic comfortable bed - we slept like a log after a couple of pints of the "black stuff" will stay here again.
not a problem for us but a lot of stairs to contend with for anyone who has difficulty walking.
very central location nice toiletries
shower was not very powerful and the water did not get hot. No curtains, only blinds which did not close properly
