i liked the fact that the hotel is right in the heart of the city, loved everything about the place as all the shops and bars are walking distance.i will stay in this hotel again. also the people of the city are so friendly best food and best laugh i would rate kilkenny five star.
The service at breakfast. We came down at 10 o clock an there was literally nothing left on the buffet
Reception staff-lady named Fiona was so lovely
No hair dryer in room, room very hot even though radiator was turned off
Really relaxed but efficient service and a cracking breakfast Would really recommend
No bad experience but worth noting that the original quote included the Spa facilities. These have subsequently been abandoned yet there was no reference to any price revision - even if it had been a token gesture it would have been appreciated. Not splitting hairs as I wouldn't be going to Kilkenny for a Spa with 40 pubs in the town!
we were told the pool was closed but the gym has also been closed and we were not informed of that also we had to pay 10 euro for the car park
Very cold bedroom Noisy due single pain windows Dated hotel
Food was excellent in the restaurant & at breakfast.Lovely clean quiet room.
Waitress in bar forgot to serve my husbands soup & there was only 4 in our party. Jug of sour milk on the table. Our reservation for the restaurant was never recorded in the book & the staff member said we had to be out by 9pm as she needed the table for other guests but they cancelled & she didn't bother to tell us. There was wine included with our meal but it was never offered we had to ask for it. No water was put on table again we had to ask for it. Check out never asked was everything okay just wished us a nice day.
Bedrooms were comfy and big. Food was excellent and so was location.
The Leisure Centre is now closed
THE ROOM BY THE RIVER. Quiet and peaceful sleep. Room was nice.
The shower was weak. That's all. Everything else was fine. A biit mean to be charging €5 euro for parking. Now when I mentioned it they didn't charge.
Extra facilities gone, hard towels & had to pay for parking
Recently stayed in the River Court hotel, it was a return visit as it is a lovely hotel with a great location. Very clean and well kept. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
There was no mention of a E5 parking charge per night for guests on the website. Also breakfast the first morning was limited but there was more choice the second morning. Cooked breakfast was overcooked but continental breakfast was much better. Didn't get much sleep the first night with a noisy couple next to us, guests can be heard in the hallway also late at night.
Location is excellent but change of ownership has disimproved the hotel
Leisure centre not operational neither was the restaurant open except weekends which is bad for mid week guests. Also charging for car parking is disgraceful. That was our second visit but our third will be a long way away
Hotel Location Good breakfast.
Television sets are of poor quality, television remotes just don't operate properly. No mention that the pool /sauna was closed during the booking period.
location was brill, Breakfast was lovely too
dissapointed I hadnt known the leisure facilities were closed before getting there, it was one of the reasons I booked the place, I also felt 16.00 was a late check in time
Issue with heating. No leisure facilities.
Very clean and well presented, great location
Location was excellent.
We didn't hav a great view from our room. No iron or swimming pool..no smoking rooms.. staff at reception was not very welcoming
Location was excellent
Pool was closed with 2 weeks and no body decided to contact the people that had paid 4star prices for a definite 3star accomodation excuse was had no contact no or email address which was not the case
The staff were excellent the room very of a high standaed
Thought we could have parked the car for free
Rooms warm and comfortable and staff excellent.
Because hotel is an older one, radiators/heating could be quite noisy. Also some paint peeling in ensuite a bit disappointing when compared to the general high standard of the rest of the hotel finishes.
Not a lot we have stayed here several times hence our returnvisit the few staff were excellent but really overworked and not appreciated
wawas the booked on line and were not informed that the Hotel was due for re furbishedment as a result all of the vacilities /spa etc., were closed as was the dining room frankly it was a disaster and should not have taken bookings at all for that week.
A good location.
It was our anniversary and booked a deluxe room which was expensive. When we complained about the chipped paint and quality of the room, we were told to put it in writing to the manager. I found this very poor and dishonest. This clearly was not a deluxe room. Breakfast no mushrooms or tomatoes.
Room well heated staff v attentive breakfast high standard
We weren't aware leisure centre was closed
Very thin walls..
