I liked the jacuzzi very relaxing and the pool. I came home feeling better
I found the spectators area very cold.
The room and facilities were very good for the money. Breakfast was nice and there were lots of sporting and health facilities to use. Very popular with the locals, making on-site parking good to find.
Wi-Fi was lousy and variable, with router issues making connection difficult and throughput very low. First week of school holidays made breakfast very noisy.
room very comfortable
a bit dear for one night stay
Nice staff, Clean hotel, very modern
the rooms were lovely and the staff were so friendly. It was such a great location also.
We stayed for 3 nights. We booked a deluxe room which was better than expected. We had a patio door which lead to a lovely paved and grassed area facing trees. Very private quiet and spacious. Well worth the extra cost. The staff were Most attentive and helpful. We had a delicious dinner in the restaurant on the first night. The hotel is only a ten minute walk to the town. There is a cosy pub ( the sceilp) across the road from the hotel which serves a fine pint of Guinness! The pool and spa are of an excellent standard and well worth a visit. All in all it gets a big thumbs up from us.
Our room was too dark and one of the lamp bulbs wasn't working. It needs better lighting. We couldn't turn off the heating so the room was too hot at times. Breakfast is a bit of a calamity if you don't arrive before 9.00am. There aren't Enough tables to cater for all the guests so you have to wait up to 25 mins for a table! So be warned. There were two weddings on while we were there which tended to take over the lobby and bar area. I think there should be a separate reception/bar for wedding guests as it became very crowded in both areas. There was little child supervision in the lobby. Staff did not intervene to stop children running around nor did their parents for that matter.
Size of room and no kids in corridor as we were on the deluxe side.
The bed in the deluxe room was 2 singles pushed together very uncomfortable. The bathroom was very standard with a standard size bath. I thought being a deluxe room the bath would be big enough for 2.
paper thin walls and heavy old doors continuously slamming during the night and early morning . impossible to get a good night of sleep without earplugs. no fridge in the rooms, loud guests, not much healthy food choice.
Clean, spacious and comfortable rooms modern decor (simple) friendly helpful staff Nice bar and restaurant convenient location
Can't really grumble but could benefit from power shower. Occasionally service at breakfast slow ( but minor points really)
The sleep was great the food beautiful and that we could use the Jym as well was nice
only down fall price on room too dear and not even a breakfast was with that 250 I paid for 2 people 2 nights
got a room upgrade staff were so friendly and great buzz in the hotel even better watched the ireland game against germany 1_1 come on you boys in green
Great service and breakfast Clean comfortable rooms with fresh drinking water available . Bar and entertainment very good ,hotel in general very nice would go back
As it was first time to kilkenny we found hotel difficult to find and the Front door not in a obvious place Parking very limited especially around front of hotel, also situated too far from town . Good for taxi service
I loved the modern bright rooms, comfortable well made beds, and great furniture. The warmth & friendliness of the staff and good quality food, both in the Restaurant and in the bar. Great Spa on site, with mid priced Quality Spa Treatments. A thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to end. Great value for what we got. Nothing negative to report. Would highly recommend a visit.
Lovely hotel and staff and 10 min walk to town
Good atmosphere in the bar
Very difficult to sleep with so much noise. Not very modern hotel Were put in a room where the bathroom had wheelchair accessibility
Every thing good food
lovely hotel staff were excellent
car parking very small .we arrived on wet day and had to wait for parking space near main door
Comfortable, location was good as outside town but in walking distance. Large car park. Good facilities.
cleanliness and breakfast is massive!.really lovely.
hotel bar has no atmosphere with loud piped music but to be fair all hotel bars are like this.
Very comfortable bed. The breakfast was made to order, so very fresh & served by lovely staff.Bar food was also high standard.
The walk to centre was 15minutes & not 5 minutes as advertised. It was a sunny day so I liked the walk overall
The accomodation was very clean and the decor was off high spec , the staff were friendly and helpfull. The evening meal and morning breakfast were excellent. I would highlly recommend Hotel Kilkenny.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, bedrooms were perfect, will be definitely be back
Bathrooms could be upgraded a little to match the stunning rooms
The staff were very professional and friendly. The service was excellent.
We liked everything - location, leisure centre, reception staff, bar staff, staff at leisure centre. Professional attitude, always smile on their faces, very helpful.
Can't think of anything. For our romantic weekend away it was a brilliant hotel choice.
Big rooms, good shower & bath. Comfy bed
Hardly any wifi reception in rooms. Wait for tables at breakfast and the speed in which food was delivered
