Very efficient check in & out Friendly & competent staff

room was a little hot as window could not be fully opened

The central location was excellent , the night club had a great buzz and was nt full of teenagers , the staff were very helpful and friendly , the bar food was excellent,

I did nt find any faults during my stay

Parking wasn't convenient. No real place to unload bags...but neither were deal breakers.

The Room, SMELLS, very basic, small, dated No way a four star, room was more like a budget room. have stayed in equally good 2 star rooms in Dubin.

My husband and I were very pleased with the hotel. The staff was very nice, the room was large and clean and the bed was very comfortable. Excellent location! Right around the corner from the Castle and could walk to all points in town - never had to use the car. And the breakfast was very, very good. All around a good stay. And we loved the town of Kilkenny. Probably not on the normal tourist route, but it is a delightful place with lots to see and great pubs.

Photos on the website are a bit dated. Had bar food the first evening and was poor quality but service was good. Breakfast was average, tea was only warm, toaster was not working correctly either. Room looked to have been patched up a bit with two inch holes between the towel rail and the bathroom tiles. Shower head also clogged with limescale. Mattress was also poor quality and headboard was chipped. Some of the carpets had also seen better days around the hotel. This hotel does not merit 4 stars and was poor value for money.

We stayed in the hotel for the cat laughs comedy festival, it was so central and we didn't have far to go for the gigs. The staff were so friendly and helped give the hotel its lovely atmosphere. Breakfast was great and dinner was amazing! We ate in another hotel on one of our nights in kilkenny but it just wasn't up to the standard of the hibernian hotel. We will definitely be back and will recommend to anyone visiting kilkenny.

the hotel was ideally central and very convienient for shopping etc. Breakfast was excellent .

Room was shabby and felt it was'nt value for money. Did'nt feel safe entering the hotel after hours due to the large amount of non guests congregating at the hotel entrance trying to gain access to the bar for after hours drinking.

We lucked out and got room 221 which was very elegant and comfortable and overlooked the main street and got the morning sun.The staff were excellent, very helpful and polite. We had dinner in the bar which was very good and good value. The breakfast was excellent. And free parking 50 metres away in a secure car park. Overall it was excellent value, very comfortable and made us feel special. We wished we could have stayed longer and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again or recommend it to others.

Fantastic location just beside the main shopping and tourist areas. Multi storey car park just across the road. Very friendly staff and comfortable beds. Food was excellent and fantastic they way a new hotel has been built incorporating an old back fascade.

No tea and coffee facility in the room but can be ordered free from room service at any time. Bath was a little small but bathroom generally adequate. Most peculiar shower head!

The room was disappointing. Bed was two singles pushed together. En- suite was tiny. No tea or coffee making facitilies in room. For €55 each it wasn't worth the money.

As is usual,staff in encounter in Irish hotels are top notch friendly ,efficient helpful.Lovely room ,well furnished ,clean bathroom .

Serious noise from the street after closing time ,went on until 4 in the morning.
