I liked where we were as I could relax and enjoy the facilities. The weather let us down. We had a great time.

Good value for money. Pretty close to the city centre - 10 min walk. There were no real bathroom doors. Just some sliding plastic doors. The room was a bit chilly.

Don't know what the rooms in the main house were like. Stayed in the apartment building and it was perfect. As nice as a hotel with more mod cons and half the price. Overlooking UCC which was the reason for my trip. Breakfast options were amazing and fresh scones handed out each morning by the lady of the house who was really friendly and hospitable. Would return and recommend to a friend.

The hostess Margaret was of great help to me. As I student and studying for my exams, she went out of her way in order to make sure I had a quiet room, which was thoroughly appreciated. There was a great breakfast menu on range and I would definitely recommend this guesthouse. Also good to note is that it is barely a ten minute walk from the town so amenities are close.

I was travelling alone and had arrived late. The manager asked me politely if I didn't mind taking a smaller room. I had booked a double but didn't mind as long as it was en suite. In return I received effusive thanks and a complimentary breakfast. I hadn't planned on having breakfast, but I was glad I did. This is no meagre, bare bones B&B breakfast: heaps of freshly made pastries, croissants and toast and a hot dish to boot. They kept offering me more and I had to decline! The manager came down to check on all the diners which I thought was an especially nice touch. The guest house if opposite UCC and is only 5-10 mins walk from the city centre. An unexpectedly charming guest house! Walls are a bit thin, and the single room was very small, but comfortable.

The staff was friendly, we were upgraded to a bigger room. Location is convenient if you have a car. Not sure of public transport links as we didn't use any. No mixers in bathroom sink, there was loud music and chatter up to 1pm which meant that sleeping was difficult. In the morning, could hear conversations of people in other rooms.
